View Full Version : The Chasers War On Everything Thread

I decided to put this thread up because the new season of Chasers War on Everything starts next Wedensday at 9:00PM on the ABC. You can use this thread to discuss the new episdoes aired.

Also did anyone watch the final repeat last night?

I liked the bit where Chas I believe went to a McDonalds and bought everything off the menu too see if he would got upsized. He was like "Can I have a small coke...medium coke...large coke...small diet coke...medium diet coke...large diet coke...small sprite......Chicken ceazar salad." "What dressing?" "All of them.....6 nuggets, 10 nuggets, 20 nuggets."

Also my favourite bit was at the end where they showed the video of Osama Bin Larden in his videos in his cave and then they put up fake subtitles of what he was saying. The subtitles said, 'Are the Chasers guys putting up fake sutitles again? There doing it now aren't they? A jihad on them! I hope Chas dies' lol.

I like the old episodes because that's where they used a lot of their good ideas.

I tried putting up some YouTube videos but they don't work in this lounge, so here are the links.

It's ironic that I'll be 10,000 odd miles closer to Sydney yet I won't be able to watch any of the second half of the series. It's cool that it's available to download on ABC.

My favourite bit has to be the stocking head sketch.

I'm sure they'll bring back the ad roadtest. They just have to find a suitable ad first.

Yes, I remember that one. There was this Asian guys shop that he went into and he ran out the back door when he went in. There was this travel agency store and when he went in, the people ran away from him.

What about when one of the Chasers (I forgot his name) went to the head Sheik of Australia in boxing clothes offering him a fight and he walks into the house and he comes out with Anthony Mundine and he's like ****ting himself when he sees Mundine. He was like "No, no, no. I don't want to fight anymore." :lol1:

Did anyone watch the first new episode of the series?

For the all the people who didn't watch the episode stop reading now...

My favourtite bit was at the start of 'What have we learned from current affairs this week?' They had that Australian guy from the secret dvd appearing on Today Tonight wanting an apology for calling him a pedifiler for a scene in the dvd. They Chasers didn't apologise to him and they showed you a scene from Today Tonight where the guy was touching/patting a cow and they called him a cow pedifiler or something like that. After that they asked him what his favourtie position was and hey showed you a scene from the interview. What did he say again?

And mgkirkpatrick you were right about the Anderew John drug scandal. But I thought they were going to do a sketch where one of the guys dressed up as him or they went to Andrew Johns offering him drugs or something like that.

mgkirkpatrick
09-05-2007, 10:04 PM
the chaser was on point as usual. had some good laughs.. the 'thank god you're here' part was funny though probably staged. the kevin07 shirts was probably my favourite bit. costello never. hahahaha

haha i doubt they'll do time.. julian is actually probably my favourite. chaz is good too.

another 3 chasers were taken in for questioning by police yesterday driving for walking around the streets of sydney in cardboard cars with canadian flags.

its going to be harder for the boys to get away with as much in the future by the looks.

Did you know that he guys are worth millions? And that they could be moving to a major tv network? Most likely channel seven. The only thing I won't like is the ads and where will they put the show?

The good thing is that when they are at the ABC the have a budget of around $200,000 to $300,000 but if they move to channel seven it's at least $500,000, which means bigger and better stunts!!! :boxing:

hmm it would make them pretty big hypocrites to sell out like that. might be good for the stunts but i cant see the show working too much better... cant blame anyone for cashing in though. good luck to them either way.

My favourite bit from last nights episode was probably the message from Osama Bin Larden.

Now I know what happened on the APEC day. They manged to get in further than they thought and they were only a couple of meters away from George Bush's hotel so they decided to turn around but they figured out who they were and arrested them. The news were unfair to the guys they tried to make them look like they were sneaking in to try to get to George Bush to do something but they wern't.

That's being a bit hard on them. I just think their getting lamer now, It's too hard for them to come up with funny shows each week. After season 2, the shows are pretty lame.

The KFC ad road test a few weeks back was terrible. This show used to be funny. Summer Heights High outshines this show completely now.

Thanks for posting that. I have been trying to find it.

I think it was borderline until the last part when Craig said that "They're only going to die anyway" that pushed it over.

One other thing, I would like to know if the parents of these kids would have had to give permission from them to be in the show. I take it that those aren't actual sick kids.

I believe they had permission from the hospital and the parents to film this sketch. They didn't just sneak into the hospital and film this without the people knowing.

I don't really understand why everyone's getting so angry for? It's meant as a joke nothing more.

And there is also some truth to the last comment.

We lost someone in our family a pretty young age to Leukemia and if maybe you had as well you wouldn't find it so funny.

Just when you see someones life just starting to grow and take shape you have to watch them die and you spend the rest of your life wondering what that person would have grown to be. You don't get over it.

Well of course there is truth in the last line, when did you work that out. You are a harsh prick and I wish I could hunt you down and beat the living **** out of you until you piss blood you little cunt.

"and there is also some truth to the last comment" I can't believe you said that.

We lost someone in our family a pretty young age to Leukemia and if maybe you had as well you wouldn't find it so funny.

Just when you see someones life just starting to grow and take shape you have to watch them die and you spend the rest of your life wondering what that person would have grown to be. You don't get over it.

I never knew this information when I posted that comment. If I did then I wouldn't have posted that comment.

Sorry if any offence was taken by the comment.

And what is up with beating me up comment? A bit harsh.
