mmm...sometimes the sadness is good...mmmm...an example: you can write a song when you're sad...It could be a beautiful song....
Of course, you can write a Death metal song with hate too...

Sadness is seen as feminine and therefore weakness. Hatred is viewed as more manly and macho. That's all it really comes down to.

hate derives from frustration
sadness derives from hurt

i get frustrated a lot. and i mean a LOT.
but i usually won't let the frustrations hurt me. i'll fight my way through it. but i'm only human and sometimes i can't help it. and i don't hesitate to let anyone know when i'm sad at that point.

i guess it's not so easy to deal with sadness because we don't like to feel defeated. me personally, i don't mind it because it's healthy to humble yourself at points. you truely only conquer weakness once you accept it.

I think its cause hate can be acted out aggresively where sadness is purely emotional and has to be delt with on that level, meaning no easy cop out of punching a wall.

Because I can lash out at what I hate with the ferocity and white hot intensity of a thousand suns, but when I'm sad, sometimes I cry.J/K....a deep abiding is sadness is just a much tougher adversary to overcome. I hate emotions like that, don't know how to handle 'em. Anger and hatred are much more manageable for me.

I think Hockey said it best, and Blue Bulldog touched on it.

All I know is that when I get sad and depressed, my natural reaction is to channel it into anger and vent that anger some how.

sadness eats at you, hatres consumes you, sadness kills you, hatred lets you kill others. You can feel good about being hateful, but you cant feel good being sad.
