View Full Version : I'd like to post my support for our boys/girls going to war...
Magic Man 03-18-2003, 04:51 AM Well, I guess the US and it's allies are going to war, of which Australia is one of them, which means many of our outstanding young men from our country and many others will be facing the possibility of death at the hands/bullets/weapons of the enemy.
No matter what your opinion is of this war, I think every nation who is participating, against the grain of public dissenchantment and opposition, is unconditionally proud of the boys and girls serving their country. They don't make the policies, they dont debate in parliament, or cajole, or rally support or manipulate press or prance around like idiots, they are doing their job that they have simply been trained for and I salute them.
May god help our fathers, mothers, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters to meet this evil and stop it in it's wake, may this war be short, with as few casualties as possible...from both sides of the conflict.
May Saddam feel the wrath of the lord.
Laura 03-18-2003, 05:07 AM thanks...
ig0r1eye 03-18-2003, 05:08 AM I'm with you magic and I also salute them.
Well said MM. Thanks. My support also goes to the men and women who are serving their countries.
Money 03-18-2003, 11:12 AM My heart goes out to the brave men and women who give their lives to help keep our freedoms. God bless you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HockeyFighter 03-18-2003, 11:18 AM Poland is not going to war.
The Jake 03-18-2003, 01:50 PM LOL @ Hockey!
Whilst I might find certain governments corrupt, inept and incompetent, let it not be said that the armed forces are not courageous. Especially in the face of overwhelming opposition by the global community.
Good luck to them and may the casualties be minimal and that this doesn't turn into another Stalingrad.

The Ensanity 03-18-2003, 01:57 PM this post goes out to my friends out there: RANDELL, Rodigo, and Aaron
seldomTap 03-18-2003, 04:00 PM I know of at least 3 Australian SAS guys over there now and I hope they get back safe.
HockeyFighter 03-18-2003, 06:13 PM They're ****in SAS! Of course they are coming back. It's the average Joe grunt that's gonna die.
seldomTap 03-18-2003, 06:17 PM The SAS primary role will be long range recon...which is basically working well advanced from the regular units, obtaining information and working a lot closer to the enemy than anyone else...
slightly more dangerous I would suggest
HockeyFighter 03-18-2003, 06:20 PM But they are the SAS
seldomTap 03-18-2003, 06:24 PM Indeed...the bulletproof and chemical resistance training they do should see them in good stead!
handjobs4dollars 03-18-2003, 06:36 PM Hey I'm not fighting. So thanks.
realkaps 03-18-2003, 07:15 PM My support is with all of our allied soldiers also, my cousin Brian U.S. Marine Corp. And one of my best friends David Morris, Army. Come back in one piece guys........

Points to Ponder:
This is kinda funny...if you wanna read it...
1) Out of President Bush and Saddam Hussein ...Hussein is the bad guy.
2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing keep this
in mind, they have Libya heading the committee on human rights and Iraq
heading the global disarmament committee. Do your own math here
3) If you use Google search and type in "French Military Victories," your
reply will be "no matching result," or "did you mean French Military
Defeats?"
4) If your only anti-war slogan is "No War For Oil", sue your school
district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the
education you deserve.
5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek united nations approval before they
try to kill us.
6) Despite common belief, Martin Sheen is not the president. He plays one on
tv.
7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "infidel!" and Bin Laden wants
you dead, too.
8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy" but not in the danger
that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude.
9) We are not trying to liberate them.
10) Whether you are for military action or against it, our young men and
women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all
need to support them without reservation.
Quotable quotes:
France has neither winter nor summer nor morals. Apart from these drawbacks
it is a fine country. France has usually been governed by
prostitutes." ---Mark Twain
"I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one
behind me." --- General George S. Patton
"Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your
accordion." --Norman Schwartzkopf
"We can stand here like the French, or we can do something about it." ----
Marge Simpson
"As far as I'm concerned, war always means failure"---Jacques Chirac,
President of France
"As far as France is concerned, you're right."---Rush Limbaugh,
"The only time France wants us to go to war is when the German Army is
sitting in Paris sipping coffee."--- Regis Philbin
"The French are a smallish, monkey-looking bunch and not dressed any better,
on average, than the citizens of Baltimore. True, you can sit outside in
Paris and drink little cups of coffee, but why this is more stylish than
sitting inside and drinking large glasses of whiskeyI don't know." --- P.J
O'Rourke (1989)
"You know, the French remind me a little bit of an aging actress of the
1940s who was still trying to dine out on her looks but doesn't have the
face for it."---John McCain, U.S. Senator from Arizona
"You know why the French don't want to bomb Saddam Hussein? Because he hates
America, he loves mistresses and wears a beret. He is French,
people." --Conan O'Brien
"I don't know why people are surprised that France won't help us get Saddam
out of Iraq. After all, France wouldn't help us get the Germans out of
France!"---Jay Leno
"The last time the French asked for 'more proof' it came marching into Paris
under a German flag."--David Letterman
How many Frenchmen does it take to change a light bulb? One. He holds the
bulb and all of Europe revolves around him.
Next time there's a war in Europe, the loser has to keep France.
Bluecifer 03-19-2003, 01:46 PM Funny!

Those are great and will soon be in my sig. Although I do hate the French I would just like to point out that the French army and navy is the only reason that America is a nation and still not part of Britain
France hasn't won a battle since 1812. Russian ****ed 'em up good and they have never been the same.
krahzee1 03-19-2003, 03:07 PM How many speeds does a french tank have?
6- 5 in reverse and 1 forward in case they are attacked from behind!
Piedra 03-19-2003, 03:10 PM All I can say its Vive la France!
Bluecifer 03-19-2003, 04:39 PM I love the way french chicks talk, though I wish they weren't so hairy or smelly.
