View Full Version : Is "common sense" really all that common??
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 06:47 PM As adults in a supposedly civilised society, there are things taken for granted that people should do or know. Like if you have been in a job for 12 months...you should know what you are doing enough so that you don't need to ask someone a stupid question every 2 minutes.
This raises the question however...is this thing called 'common sense' really all that common? Is it only a small percentage of us that know what we are doing and what is expected of us? Is the global IQ really sub 40??
Bluecifer 03-17-2003, 07:35 PM No and yes. Coco the talking Gorilla has our collective IQ's beat by 50 pts. Her IQ is a whopping 90!
VulgarTheClown 03-17-2003, 07:47 PM Commin sense is not as common as you would think. the majority of my genereation is dumb as rocks
LukeDothSucketh 03-17-2003, 07:49 PM My generation is worse. Yours cleaned up somewhat after high school and college, ours shows no promise of this.
Bluecifer 03-17-2003, 07:49 PM You don't seem so dumb Vulgar.
just cause it's common sense doesn't mean it's good sense
Bluecifer 03-17-2003, 07:50 PM You don't seem so dumb either Luke. Especially not compared to money.
LukeDothSucketh 03-17-2003, 07:52 PM It's the internet, everyone's stupidity makes true idiots like me seem a lot more knowledgable.
The Golden Bear 03-17-2003, 07:55 PM I am dumb
HockeyFighter 03-17-2003, 08:01 PM me not
handjobs4dollars 03-17-2003, 09:47 PM I blame the parents and the weed my mom smoked.
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 09:47 PM Good answer Bob you "one chromosone off being an eggplant" fool.
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 09:52 PM No love for Bob...back to Morphettville for some track work mate!! ;)
**** you and your jokey jokes ....they are so last week
JasonLeonardOBE 03-17-2003, 09:54 PM Common sense hs no place in the contemporary workplace Seldom. That`s why the company CEO, who never staples a sheet of paper by himself, has a chrome plated, designer model, multi function stapler while the guy who spends his day stapling files has the .99$ cheapo breaks after 10 uses stapler.
You dig?
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 09:55 PM But I didn't see you last week so they are now 'this week'!
How are you anyways? Why not at work??
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 09:56 PM Yes jason...I see this everyday on a grand scale...I dig
im not at work because work is ****...the **** nuts cut my hours down big time.
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 10:00 PM cunts...are you at the auction place or did you go back to Big W?
back at TARGET..........but hopfully not for much longer, im thinking of aplying at stormys to drive sluts around
seldomTap 03-17-2003, 10:02 PM hahahaha...Stormy is a rough old tart! Driving hookers around is good money though apparently...my missuses driver makes good cash.
HockeyFighter 03-18-2003, 02:04 AM Define sense

The Jake 03-18-2003, 02:54 AM Common sense is as rare and as much a misnomer as Microsoft Works.
After 4 years of technical support, I have really begin to develop a refined sense of just how truly pathetic and stupid we, as a collective species, are. I've laughed, I've cried, I've screamed, I've hung up on customers, I've changed their passwords to god awful words, I've even subscribed the truly evil ones to the worst spam sites I could find that subscribed them instantly to 312 mailing lists.
And in all that time, if there's one thing I've learned about the human race and our ultimate destiny, it is this ladies and gentlemen:
We're ****ed.

Magic Man 03-18-2003, 04:55 AM common sense is ****ing useless.
