Nah! Burn outs!!? Not allowed!! i have to stay for the full 2 hours or i get shouted at! haha. I've been known to puke a couple of times.
I'm a 22 year old man and i get shouted at. But still.. i appreciate it.
From start to finish i've got to do every round and observe every break during that 2 hours. At the end we have the facilities to have a sauna if you want, but i don't do that too often.

Lol we get shouted out for coming late missing a day or wanting to leave early and mostly during the whole training session, we also get hit alot while on the focus pads :tapedshut it's good i guess alot of discipline.

We get hit when were on the pads. You know, like if you don't go back to your defence or you let your guard slip. Its good though... i'd prefer to be love-tapped by the boss in practise than to be clocked by an opponent.
My first gym used to have no discipline, you used to be able to turn up and do whatever u like. It was no good for me, i was too lazy. At the end of the day - some of the things you have to do are boring and hurt. So you need someone to push you into it- because they'll be some days when you know you wont do it.

fraidycat 08-11-2007, 12:02 PM Our gym is run like a martial-arts class. 60 minutes of drills and exercise in 3-minute rounds on a circuit -- medicine ball, crunches, burpees, ropework, padwork, heavy- and speed-bag, etc. -- and then 30 minutes of sparring. There is open "full-speed" sparring after class if you want to go heavy in the ring. So 90 minutes minimum. Sometimes 2 hours.
BrooklynBomber 08-11-2007, 12:25 PM Boxing -- 90 to 120 minutes
Weightlifting -- about an hour.

Yeah are other trainer was much more laid back, and let us kind of develop are own style so alot of the amateurs at are gym have actually quit since we got this new trainer.. because to him hes way is the only right way, and alot of the guys wernt used to being screamed at and hit and being told what they are doing is all wrong, but its great in a way he trains us just like he would some of the olympic gold medalists hes taught over the years rather then just amateurs..
