Torres best buy? well for £20 million or whatever he cost hes gonna have to perform pretty ****ing well to be considered one of the best buys

I still think Agger has a long way to go to be near prem XI standard, and Rosicky has got a terrible mentality, he can't concentrate for more than 15 mins before he goes awol.

Essien is possibly the most effective player in the PL. I'd take him or stevie over any other player in the league if I was building a team.

Viduka, he has pissed me off for so many years. So much talent, so little desire.

I have more random comments that i will spray over the board from time to time.

Oh yeah, make sure you watch this season's Championship winners to be on sat v watford, although i'm guessing you kop****es will be watching setanta....

Agreed Jimmy but thats the going rate for a top striker.

Look at Shevchenko he cost 30 mil and scored next to **** all!

If Torres can get 20 gaols for a goal shy Liverpool then that will complete the puzzle at Anfield as we are on equal footing with the big boys elsewhere!

I'm taking United to repeat (but I wouldn't bet real money against Chelsea)

Player of the year: Rooney

Eleven:

Carragher
King
Cole
Essien (can I pick 5 middies?)
Ronaldo
Gerrard
Fabregas
Rosicky
Drogba
Rooney

I can guess......

Its a very lopsided hatred really, we without sounding condescending having bigger fish to fry than Everton.
Their season hinges on how they do in the Merseyside Derby and the appending bragging rights.

Jesus, their two most widely used rants are that Liverpool, by getting English clubs banned from Europe effectively destroyed Everton football Club (they were due to play in European Cup the following season) and that the greatest player to play on Merseyside is not Dalglish, Rush, Barnes, Beardsley, Fowler, Owen, Gerrard, Keagan etc but Dixie Dean!

They have dozens of songs that include lyrics like ' Die Reds Die', 'Red ****e' and 'Thieves across the Park' and will remind us at every opportunity that Anfield used to belong to them (115 years ago)

I personally always want Everton to do well and many Reds are the same, you will never find a Blue reciprocating the favour!

its often like that when one club is bigger and more successful than the other.

Wolves and west brom are pretty even - they have had a slightly better last 10 years but we have a better history and more fans. Having said that I'd like to see villa west brom and wolves in the PL, just not sh*tty birmingham!

Good assessment mate. I hate it when fans of either club try to belittle the other. At the end of the day we are both big clubs, bigger than many in the prem at the moment. We shall do the double over you this season mind.

Agree about agger and rosiscky on past performances but i reckon this will be their breakthrough year. Just a hunch.

Fat Sam has got the best out of players like davies (so little talent, so much hunger- for bags of pick n mix), campo and djorkaeff. If he can't motivate viduka no-one can.

why do you think middleborough will go down?

Well, 1st of all i don't rate southgate as a manager at all, can't attract any big names and the big names at the club seem to want away.

The nucleus of their team last season was, woodgate (will he last a season), viduka- gone, yakubu- unsettled and downing whose form seems to be affected greatly according to the pressue he's under or the stick he's getting.

Boateng is in the twighlight of his career, will be unable to offer rochenback enough protection to play his game the signings close season, luke young apart have been poor.

There are a few teams with poorer players but who are ready for a battle against relegation, its always harder for those teams with greater expectations to deal with it when they get dragged in.

I've put it in my sig mate. Santa cruz will be a decent signing, confident of top half unless we do really well in europe, that might harm us.

I have:-
1st- chelsea
2nd- man u
3rd- liverpool
4th- arsenal
5th- tottenham
6th-aston villa
7th-everton
8th-newcastle
9th-blackburn

I'm with you and against Wolf on Rosicky; he needed to adjust and now this team belongs to him and the young boys. I also like Viduka

Also, he and hleb struggled last year because they lacked the protection of gilberto silva who had to be used as an emergency centre half due to their defensive probs.
Much like when essien played in chelseas defense last season harming their midfield.

I going with a close race between Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea

Man United - got so many young player who are developed like Rooney and Ronaldo

Liverpool - Gerrad good with his pass and field control but is Torres good as the hype or have the style for EPL? there is alway crouch too. he is 6'7 or so good for headers.

Chelsea - Mariono is under alot of pressure from the Russian so I think he have to bring a trophy with him
