buy bag gloves. From the sounds of it ur hitting the heavy bag with 4oz MMA gloves..which is not a good idea for training

oh ok.....do you train in a gym or are you doing this all at home cause i dont know any trainer that would let a beginer bang away at a heavy bag without gloves on

Buy real bag gloves. Injuries will only hurt your training. Plus you'll be able to throw alot harder without worrying.

i just started learning and its been about two weeks. i wear full wraps and 16 oz gloves. I'm noticing a pain in the bottom of my hand. like from the base of my pinky down into my wrist. i don't think thats supposed to happen. going to a doc tomorrow but curious if you guys have had similar problems?

which gloves do you use?

i've had some pairs of 16oz gloves that needed break in time.

for example, the ringside imf tech training gloves, for the first 2-3 weeks, i would have alot of pain in my left pinky. after that it went away

Are the gloves you should use for the heavy bag, the same ones you'd use in sparring? both heavier the better so as not to hurt your hands and not hurt your sparring partner right? I'm not too sure either, but whats the difference between heavy bag gloves and sparring gloves?
