As much as I like Randy Couture I am sad to admit that Gonzaga is going to not only defeat him but will hurt him.

Randy has always had trouble with bigger ground guys, look at his fights with Ricco and Barnett. I will always cheer for Randy but I think Gonzaga will be too much for him...

I've snee Zaga look umcomfortbale at various times while pummling. I wooudn't be surprised if Randy pulls this off.

True, Randy is a bar none the best general in the ring, but I think the age and fighting style factor will play a key role in his defeat. Gonzaga will knock him out!

Randy's best tool for this fight is the fact that Zaga isnt used of the big stage. If he phycs himself out it will be an easy night for randy

He wasn't ranked the number 2 best MMA fighter for nothing. It's not if you loose that matters, it's how you come back time and time again. An example is his second bout with Randelman. First time they met Crocop got knocked out. The second time they met, he changed his game plan and won by tapout.

lol okk the UFC is cheapis all i have to say << nothing to do wit this Thread but i had to say it even the CFFC fighters are makin more paper then most UFC fighters.

This fight is very hard to call. First you have Couture who was the heavy underdog against 6'8 Tim Sylvia, and Sylvia has beaten AA twice so you know he had some skills coming in against Couture and Randy took it to him for 5 rounds winning the easy UD.

Then you have Gonzaga who came in and KO'd Cro Cop with a high kick which no one saw coming, and immediatly made him the #1 contender.

This fight could go either way IMO, Couture has showed he has what it takes to beat the best in the HW division and could end up winning the UD against Gonzaga like he did against Pedro Rizzo who Gonzaga reminds me off.

Then Gonzaga could take it with his power and size, which is what I'm going with, right now I have Gonzaga taking it by 3rd round TKO.

Am I right??Sorry for the double post but CC is a monster. Watch the OWGP '06 and you'll see what I mean. Yes he has a weak ground game but when you train with Werdum you will eventually have a good submission game.

His striking is world class kickboxing champ in K-1, that isn't up for discussion.

He hasn't take his UFC fights serious at all. Gonzo was always a back match for him.

His guard has gotten better, but it's still harly exisitent.
