why do you like to watch car racing? Isn't that like standing by the freeway?

lol My dad and I built stock cars when I was young. He had a friend who drove them for us. It's a great sport when you learn all that goes in to it. I take my youngest to the track every Saturday night and she loves it. Its been a family thing for a long time. Its just something about a 700hp small block engine turning 9000 RPMs that gets me going. Its not for everyone.

Oh. I guess my knowledge is quite limited on the subject. The wrecks look devastating, well most of em I've seen. The the one that took out Dale Eanhardt didn't look as bad, but that's probably just my ignorance.

The wrecks that look the worst usually the driver is safer. The cars are designed to absorb the energy by ripping apart. The one that killed Dale sr was bad because the car didn't have time to slow down. It was a rapid stop and his body took all the force.
Plus he didn't wear the best safety equipment.

I went to Talladega a few years ago...if it weren't for the freaks in the infield and immeasruable amounts of alcohol, I would have been bored stiff.

NASCAR live sucks.

I much prefer drag racing. Here is a friend of mine.
