Sao Paulo, Brazil - May 17th and 18th, 2003 - 5th Submission Wrestling World Championships

3x ADCC Tournament Champion and current ADCC Superfight Champion Mark Kerr is reportedly confirmed for the 2003 SUPERFIGHT with Brazilian Ricardo Arona.

ADCC spokesman Guy Neivens stated 'I talked with Mark, and he is training and seemed keen for the fight. He said he would not miss it'.

Kerr was recently in California working on followups to his successful HBO documentary, and was difficult to contact. Nevertheless, Kerr is prearing to defend the SUPERFIGHT Title hea earned in 2001 by defeating ADCC star Mario Sperry on points. Interstingly, Sperry is the instructor of Arona, Kerr's challenger. Add to this Arona's home field advantage for this bout, and Kerr is preparing for a stiff challenge indeed.

The Kerr-Sperry bout was boring. It was 0, -1 for Kerr I belive.

When the only scoring is a point loss for pulling guard, how sad is that?

Kerr is one guy I really don't like to watch fight. The only fights of his that I enjoyed, were the ones where he got pounded. Still, it'll be cool to see Kerr fight again.

I'm just glad he's back. He's been through some **** and hopefully he has his life back on track.

Kerr rules but so does Arona. I could care less who wins as long as its interesting unlike soccer which sucks...hippies

Arona has to win...Kerr is rusty.
