View Full Version : Will Lewis And Vitali fight again?
:boxing: Vitali says that he has spoken to Lewis about it and Lewis said that the important thing would be that the money offered would make his eyes
open. There is also of course the fight coming up on Showtime Sep 22 with Jameel McCline to consider. That would be one of the steps that Vitali keeps referring to in his come back plans. When that step has been accomplished
then Vitali intends to fight the winner of the Samuel Peters Vs Oleg Maskajev
fight. If he wins, Only then will the money be right for a Lewis Vs Vitali rematch.
Here is a little refresher on the last meeting before vitali 's eye was cut:

daleneagle 08-05-2007, 05:27 AM I would love to see that fight but I'm not sure it would do anything for Klitschko's legacy. Lewis has been retired so long that if he lost, it wouldn't suprise anyone.
i think id prefer to see bowe lewis...thats real unfinnished business..n if bowe has a succesful comeback..and calls out lewis...there maybe a chance..given that bowe aint gna be anywhere near Vitali...and hence less chance of defeat/injury for lewis....but i know he's pissed with bowe, and has been for a long time...having read is autobio
col Blake 08-05-2007, 03:39 PM Lewis could still come back and mop up all the belts thats how bad it is at the moment, Holyfield getting a title shot ****ing disgrace
micky_knox 08-05-2007, 03:45 PM it wont happen..........
col Blake 08-05-2007, 03:48 PM it wont happen..........
y right Lewis does'nt need it and unlike holyfield he is'nt stupid
It would mostly be a revenge match costing lots. But I have to admit I would like to see either fight. Lewis Vs Vitali or Lewis Vs Bowe. Lewis really doesn't need either fight and would only be interested if the money were right for a rematch with Vitali.
I don't think that the money offered is gonna be an eyepopper though.
King Reese 08-06-2007, 01:33 AM Hell no. Lennox is retired. The way he wanted to; with all his marbles
VERSATILE2K12 08-06-2007, 01:35 AM If they fight again,it wont hold water similiar to Tyson vs. Holmes.
This rematch would have a lot more dynamics to it though. Manny is the trainer for Vladimir Klitschko. He is now a world champion and has a few more years left. Lennox whom Manny also trained when he was the undisputed champ
may come back for only one fight.
Will Manny go back and train Lennox? Will Vladimir help his brother Vitali train for the fight? When you revisit some of the 3rd round of the 1st fight and reopen old wounds what will that do to current friendships? How much money will it take for all of it not to make a difference?
Revisit the fight at http://youtube.com/rikd7
Vitali Klitschko VS Lennox Lewis 3rd Rnd in my videos or boxing playlist.
Lennox seems pretty content with not coming back.
Ranger2408 08-11-2007, 07:08 PM yes, in the same nursing home, over who made the runniest ****.
Lewis may not talk like a drunkard who got run over by a budweiser trailer, but he is still the dumbest ****ing Commentator of all time, he ruins every HBO fight for me, i have to mute it.
His ****ing comments stating the plain, smack you in the face with a shovel obvious are so annoying i want to join Mike Tyson iin feasting on his Children.
Credit where it is due though, a great Career, but just go quietly and shut the **** up.
definately.
BK Saddizzle 08-13-2007, 02:49 PM You'll definitely see Lewis fight Vitali again....as soon as EA makes a Fight Night 4 with these two guys in it. In the real world Lewis looks more than content standing there wit Jim Lampley talkin about the fights & how he used to fight, he's the new George Foreman. Respect to Lennox for his career accomplishments but the way that Vitali fight was sooo controversial & him deciding not to end his career with a clear victory :nonono: makes him suspect too me. Now can ya Dig Dat?!?!!:boxing:
Sports Bild reports in a video that Vitali is dreaming of fighting Lewis again. He is hoping to win the world championship and that the media will then
offer Lennox so much money that he won't be able to refuse. The video is in German at the sports bild site http://www.rtl.de/videolounge/player.php?cat=4&video_id=39482&start=0&stream=ms_h
I know he is in training now for the Jameel McCline fight. He has stated that he
is getting ready for the fight but feels that it will be his fight to lose. It is great to be confident and maybe even a motivating factor for him to look forward. I
still think he needs to concentrate on the fight at hand, that is the one that will get him to the next step.
Phunky Villian 08-15-2007, 07:02 AM yeah lewis aint daft, he knows its a day, a day thats been dusted a long time ago, however, his natural build and mentality can still win over some of the glory seekers and no hopers.
