View Full Version : sharp pain Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 12:48 AM when you guys box do you ever get a sharp pain in the middle of your feet? it happens to be when i jump rope or when im bouncing around mickeyb 08-01-2007, 06:00 AM I do. Its crap. i think alot of people get it. Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 06:02 AM you know what it is and how to prevent it? mickeyb 08-01-2007, 06:05 AM I don't know.. I always thought i had "fallen arches" in my feet and that might be it. Maybe skip on a softer surface - i used to get them all the time at my old gym, which is floored with just concrete. But at the gym iv trained at since christmas i haven't had them - and the flooring is wooden. Perhaps you should skip in the ring? Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 06:10 AM i get them when im bouncin around during sparring i heard that foot massages might help mickeyb 08-01-2007, 06:16 AM i get them when im bouncin around during sparring i heard that foot massages might help Is that a hint? Cos i ain't up for rubbing your feet boy. :pat: I know this is the internet, but that is one weird ****ing suggestion, even for this den of sin. Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 06:24 AM no! lol thats not a hint i was just wondering if it worked SpeedKillz 08-01-2007, 06:46 AM does it hurt bad?? u may have a pinched nerve... if not its probly jus sore and aching and it will go away with rest and recovery, like shin splints. i would try running barefoot every now and then to strengthen the muscles in ur feet. i dono if this would work, but u could wrap the foot that hurts like u wrap ur hands maybe the pressure will help. some suggestions... Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 06:49 AM thnx for the info imma try wrapping my feet lol rellik13 08-01-2007, 11:57 AM Try some Gel insole's. Thats what I plan to do. Also jumping rope and running often seems to be working them out. Dudeman1056 08-01-2007, 02:52 PM oh yea that sounds like a good idea too ryu89 08-02-2007, 04:28 PM that happens to me when i jump rope, sometimes even when i shadow box. i just move my foot alot before i start anything, like move my foot in a cirular motion...kinda hard to explain im beggining to suspect that this is my shoes that is causing this. Chief Vash 08-02-2007, 06:11 PM You have a bad arch. Tape the middle of your foot to give it some extra support, wear shoes with better arch supports, and learn to give your feet some rest every now and then. Also, ice massage the foot. BrooklynBomber 08-02-2007, 06:31 PM Well, my advice is to take these rocks out of your shoes and the pain will go away. |
