i dont know **** about this zuniga but he filled in for oganov against echolls and outpointed echolls..

oganov is facing him on the first of september..

zuniga is 19-2-1 (16kos)

i dont know **** about zuniga he could be brilliant but is this really a fight that is going to do anything for oganov's career?

tough one really when your opponent is an unknown quantity. Kinda like when we get a 20-2 indonisian or thai boxer over here thrown to one of our fighters, occasionally we see a good fighter, but often its a blown out (or un-true) record. I hope its some1 that can put up a fight for atleast a little while before organov puts them to sleep.

i remember seeing organov at panthers world of entertainment. I have NEVER heard punches land so hard.

That was Fernando Zuniga. Oganov is fighting Fulgencio Zuniga. Fulgencio has only been stopped once by Kelly Pavlik and that was in the 9th round.

well oganov was knocked out in the 9th. Do you think that Oganov has been exposed? I thought oganov was the most dangerous fighter at super middleweight, but now I highly doubt it.

That's the problem with starting a boxing career in Australia. Aussie and 'Aussie' boxers get fed lots of Manila and Bangkok taxi drivers. The Australian boxing scene is in a very poor state at the moment, sadly. Now with Oganov and Nochinyan losing, even the fake Australians are getting exposed.

forget oganov beo no one was taking him too seriously.. dont worry about that.

and dont worry about the state of australian boxing we have some awesome young fighters coming up at the moment.. we might go through a dip with the mundine, green and briggs retirements that must be coming up but we've got some great young kids.

lenny zapavigna, william kickett, fred mundraby, dean byrne all real prospects in my eyes. what do you reckon man?

I remember Zappavigna from the Commonwealth Games, he seemed talented but was outclassed by Frankie Gavin and looked like he believed his own hype.

Kickett looks decent, and isn't being moved along quite as slowly as other Aussie prospects.

It seems like a vicious circle really, the lack of a decent domestic scene and well regarded national title means that young Aussie fighters don't really get the big fight exposure and experience that fighters in other countries get.

that's probably true.. i guess i dont know enough about other domestic scenes to comment.

zappa is a pro style fighter though..
