Hey guys just a few thoughts from Scott Petersen in Japan. He sends the following from Japan.
"I was able to meet the Brazilian Top Team. The Nogueira's were very nice and Mario Sperry translated for me with Minotauro. Minotauro said he was looking forward to the challenge of fighting Fedor and said he was a very legit threat to his title and has been training hard for it."
"Kevin Randleman is honestly one of the nicest guys in person. It's hard to believe but true. He is a gentle giant. Mark Coleman is here and says he looks forward to fighting again soon. He didn't have an exact date but is looking forward to coming back. Out of no where a bunch of Japanese high school girls see Randleman and yell and scream "Kebin Wrandomen" and mob him. It was hilarious. They love Coleman as well and mobbed him too. I was with them and the girls took their pictures with me!! Here I am, some nobody and Randleman and Coleman put their arms around me with wild high school girls and I just saw a sea of flashbulbs. It was hilarious."
"One of the interesting things about Pride's Weigh-in's is the fact that only a few big names weigh in. It's not everybody like the UFC. So basically you had Minotauro, Fedor, Randleman, Jackson, Newton and Silva. No Sakuraba, no Henderson, etc. It was very strange. The good news is the fact that I will have video up TONIGHT in the States on MMAWeekly.com. You can check it out on MMAWeekly TV. Everybody enjoy it and I will personally do play by play of the event from the stadium late Saturday Night/Sunday morning. For now enjoy the weigh in video later tonight."
