View Full Version : Since Henry has left Arsenal what big name are they getting to replace him? siablo14 07-30-2007, 08:39 PM ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????? Jimmy The Gent 07-30-2007, 08:40 PM I have faith in Wenger that he will bring in good signings siablo14 07-30-2007, 08:41 PM I have faith in Wenger that he will bring in good signings any rumours as to who? Oasis_Lad 07-30-2007, 08:42 PM I don't think you can replace a player like Henry, to be honest. They will find someone though - with half the talent who will give them what they need. Arsenal losing Henry is like a man losing a limb. Liaison 07-30-2007, 09:41 PM Van Persie and Eduardo da Silva (if he settles well and Persie is injury free) will be more than enough and no doubt score between 40-50 this season (between them both). Wenger needs no big signing. Larry Merchant 07-30-2007, 09:53 PM there is only one Terry Herny siablo14 07-30-2007, 10:03 PM Van Persie and Eduardo da Silva (if he settles well and Persie is injury free) will be more than enough and no doubt score between 40-50 this season (between them both). The young players i think will blossom now because they dont have a mega star to look up to. kayjay 07-30-2007, 10:31 PM van Persie led the team in scoring last year and should again. Adebayor is very good. Rosicky will provide more scoring chances in his second year. Walcott looks hot. Fabregas could become world player of the year before too long and should soon be made captain. The guy they actually bought is a Croatian national (Brazilian really though). Not much can be expected of him. There's no replacing him, but the kids will do well without him. majestiC 07-30-2007, 10:39 PM Da Silva had his work permit denied, hopefully we win the appeal. siablo14 07-30-2007, 10:40 PM van Persie led the team in scoring last year and should again. Yes I think they are better. They didn't improve with the transfer market, but the kids are all a year older, and Henry out of the way might actually help them. Remember there was a point gap last year, and Liverpool have bought big. So another fourth place finish if it's closer is improvement. How many points did Arsenal have last year? They can improve that number without moving up, b/c Man U and Chelsea aren't necessarily getting much worse. Other people here can probably speculate better than I can. siablo14 07-30-2007, 11:05 PM we will just have to watch and see eazy_mas 07-31-2007, 02:18 AM ther is a saying in a Brazilian league the lion gets sick but does not die. There is alway young talents like Wenger found Henry when he was in Monaco and transfered him from Juvy bench to Arsenal's field ArturoBalboa 07-31-2007, 08:23 AM Yes I think they are better. Thats pretty much how i see it. Van Persie will come of age this season and and i expect a good season from rosicky and an improvement from hleb. Plus a more settled and solid back 4. Not quite top 3 but still more than enough to keep spurs in 5th spot. Jimmy The Gent 07-31-2007, 08:46 AM If anything Henry leaving will lift the tag that Arsenal were a one man team and I am sure the young players will flourish, I expect the Arsenal team of now to be a league winning team by 2010 Larry Merchant 07-31-2007, 10:08 PM Also Herny has been spending to much time on the set of planet of the apes..hollywoods gone to his head msagrain 08-04-2007, 02:26 PM i heard something about them trying to sign eto |
