You are confusing his Nandrolone levels with the steriod he took. Nandrolone is a natural occuring steriod in the body. Steriod use boosts the nandrolone levels in the blood. The drug test tests for the levels of nandrolone in the blood. The Olympic committee has a level set at 2ng/ml, and the average non-athlete has a level of less than 1 ml/ng while CSAC allows a whopping 6 ml/ng. Sherk's level of Nandrolone was 12ng/ml. He had over 6x the amount of nandrolone in his system than olympic level atheletes. This isn't a matter of he took to much of what he was allowed to use, it is he is using a banned substance that boosted his levels.
