sana gumanda pa ang mga performance ng mga pinoy in the future...
:boxing:
Papa Ace 07-26-2007, 11:16 AM akalain mo mataas ang rating ni suico ah... medyo umasim na kasi sya nung laban kay diaz eh...
Counter Puncher 07-27-2007, 11:59 AM Bad News mga tol! Gorres was diagnosed with a slight tear in his retina, so he is out of the World Cup! He is now the second Pinoy prospect whose career is now in the hands of father time as far as healing process is concerned, after Amonsot was diagnosed with minor blood clot last week. Pero mas masakit yung kay Gorrez dahil he prepared hard for this and he already lost before he fought, unlike Czar who fought it out first and showed the world what he can do before resting it out for the next six months. Isa pa, bayad na si Czar. Ewan ko lang kung may makukuhang pera si Z. Wawa naman...
Counter Puncher 07-27-2007, 11:44 PM Z Gorres reportedly cried like a baby when he heard the news...
Counter Puncher 07-28-2007, 08:29 AM Hold it! Latest news give a ray of hope to Z Gorres. Tear in retina maybe too minor that he may still be allowed to fight. Will know for sure tomorrow.

oo nga. at least nadagdagan din ng isa in Gerry Penalosa.
Counter Puncher 09-02-2007, 01:11 AM Gejon loses a UD to Niida (WBA minimumweight) and failed to become the 4th Pinoy World Champ this year. Its Donnie Nietes' turn to make it vs ****sawan for the WBO minifly on Sept 30.
merjohn32 09-04-2007, 08:19 AM I hope Nietes can do a great job. He has a pretty tough Thai opponent but the fight will be held in Cebu so he has the homecourt advantage.

Not so sure anymore, like what happened to Gorres. :frown:

sana magrematch si gorrez at si montiel.

Gorres was almost stopped in the final rounds so that probably made an impression on the judges. Anyway, I wasn't referring to home town decisions when I mentioned home court advantage. I was trying to say that Nietes would probably do his very best not to get knocked out in front of his kababayans. :)

Ser tagabilang, tanong lang. Sino ba ang mga posibleng contender ni Cristian Mijares sa mga pinoy natin? Sa totoo lang gusto kong may makalabang pinoy si Mijares. as of now wala pa kasi eh. Any update on a match up bet the mexican and a pinoy?

Based on latest ratings of the alphabet organizations, while Mijares is the WBC jr. bantam king, he is not rated in the rest of the orgs, not even in the IBF where Z. Gorrez is rated #7 and in WBO where Z. Gorrez is rated #2. As of now, only Gorrez can be fitted vs Mijares but that will not likely happen due to what I've just said. Only a promoter like DelaHoya who can bend the rules can make it happen, but even that is doubtful coz that fight would not bring in the money he is used to making in promoting other marquee boxers. BUt if Z Gorrez becomes a champion, a unification bout would seem profitable enough for any promoter who likes a pinoy-mexican match up. If Donaire goes back to Superfly and AJ Banal ripens up and become champs, they could also take on Mijares.

I see. so suma total, medyo matagal tagal pa yon. Because AJ is still a baby boy, Donaire has to train a bit harder if he increases weight and Z Gorres would still have to prove himself to take on Champ. Oh well i still hope oneday we'll see Mijares take on a Pinoy. Hey thanks for that info Pal. Update me on Pinoy fights ha. Mabuhay!!!!
