They had lost the war...40 years later, they were one of the top 5 economic nations and one of the largest exporters of goods in the world.. Why is this so...? The newest technology went into putting their basic infastructure back together and it gave them an advantage over all other nations. They have never looked back. Germany had a similar thing happen to them but couldn't keep the momentum.
