Just watched it on tv, just now. Never seen Katsidis fight before and i must say it was brilliant. He's one tough bastard and very exciting to watch.

Looking forward to watching him again sometiem.

Yeah, Katsidis is a true warrior. I just wish he used his Jab a little more, I'm sure It's powerful and could do some real damage. I don't want to see the young lion busted up too much.

True. Somethings were missing technically in his arsenal - like you said - he had no real jab and kept just plodding forward into his opponents range - instead of jabbing/working his way in. That proberbly contributed alot to his fucked up face at the end of the bout. I think he was more likely to throw that right cross of his instead - which is an awesome tool, but by no means a replacement. He's a hell of a brawler - but i hope he doesn't get bust up like that every fight from now on.

As for DLH and Shane Mosley... i saw them both in the audience... i dunno what he has to do with katsidis... maybe they were just both watching hte fight as fans>?

ive got it on pretty good authority that he's a bees dick away from getting signed. but nothing official as of yet.

i think i read that he is with one of the top philipino promotion companies.

there's been alot of photos floating around some other sights of kat hanging with odlh and he was sparring with mosley in preparation for guzman

well he's juan diaz's mandatory so him sometime soon.. but juan seems set on fighitng julio diaz..

im hoping for maybe nate campbell but who knows. im guessing he'll be out for a while with those facial injuries

I used to drive past Mikes training cam in toowoomba every day and Id only seen him fight on a Mundone undercard, that was 2 years ago, its great to see a local going so far

I don't think Diaz will be banging the door down to take on Kat's. But, I would put my money on Kat's winning that fight.

I just watched this fight again and I'm a bit worried, I think katsidis really needs to get a stiff jab going and least that way he'd scoring points and keeping the other guys away. I'm not hacking on Katsidis at all, I like him a lot. I just want to see him stay around a while and not end up like Gatti. I think he needs a more polished trainer at this stage of his career.

I thought Katsidas was clearly trying to improve his game in the bout, when he was circling around on the outside & trying to engage from different angles, but just doesn't have it down.

But the important thing is he's trying to improve & add to his arsenal.

If they bring in an additional trainer to work on his skills
- or maybe send him over to train at Roach's for a while, seeing how he's getting on so well with the philipino's...

Katsidas manages to get a bit of jab going in, some better angles & head movement, he's going to be very hard to top.
