Tanner: when is your fight with Wes? I hear you're fighting him
Tom: I am not fighting Wes I have a K-1 fight on april 6th
Tanner: oh, that's right........I just read about that on the UG the other day
Tom: It would be tough to fight Wes for the money in Danger zone. If I where to fight someone I consider a friend I want to be paid for it.
Tanner: can I ask you a question?
Tanner: what the hell's going on with you and Pride? I don't get it.....I know it;s not coming from your end. Why aren't you fighting there?
Tom: I have no idea
Tom: I am willing to fight anyone they throw at me no matter who it is
Tom: I am a bad match up for alot of guys
Tom: My standup is improving so people will not want to stand with me and I am very difficult to take down if I don't want to be
Tanner: Mino turned downa fight with you, right?
Tom: My guy I fight in K-1 is alot like Bernardo who is a puncher and not a kicker
Tom: Yes
Tanner: It's just hard for me to believe that you're been out of the Pride fighting scene for this long now
Tom: It's tough for me also that is why I agreed to fight in Dangerzone just to keep sharp even if it was for low money. I wasn't going to fight Wes for little money though
Tanner: you and Coleman still training together? and Gary? I can't wait to see Coleman fight again
Tom: I really do not think Coleman will ever fight again, as for Gary I will be seeing him and Mo smith in a couple of weeks
Tanner: I want to see you and Sapp fight.........wanted to see that since he first came around
Tom: me too
Tanner: I think every MMA fan wants to see that
Tom: I agree I wish Pride or the new owners would put it together

I would like to help out Tom anyway possible to get a fight in Pride.

When I used to work for Sherdog, everyone on the forum got together and sent emailed to Pride about Enson Inoue fighting. Two Prides later, he was fighting Mino. I'm not saying we were the reason for it, but I';m guessing it sure didn;t hurt any.

Would anyone else be down to do this for Tom?

This was just an AIM conversation. We'll have another Erikson interview on the site shortly.

Yeah, I don't get why Pride never put Erikson on their cards. Seems like every Pride card there's rumors of Erikson fighting, but when they announce the final card, he's never on it.

He deserves a shot. The guy is an excellent fighter. He's right about being a bad matchup for alot of guys. He'll never be the poster boy, that's probably why he's getting iced.

Tom is a cool guy, he seems very modest, i heard him say he was a bad matchup for people instead of calling them ******* and they are trying to dodge me..very nice dude
