Thanks for the list. Quinoa is great. Its a grain, similar to couscous and pilaf.

thanks for that list! I could see myself disciplined on all those items. Didn't see any milk products, with the exception of lowfat yogurt, as I'm lactose intolerant. Yo, Speed, If you find out how many servings per day, do keep us posted!

Great list!
MindBat 07-17-2007, 11:26 PM Pretty much covers the bases.
I would add: Plenty of purified water and mineral supplements.
Overall, it's a good list. And if you can buy them organic, so much the better.
Good job, Speed:boxing:

Usually avalible in pasta form at high end food stores tastes lots better than whole wheat pasta can be used in the same way as white flour in most receipes

nedcmk1 07-19-2007, 11:03 AM Quinoa is great. I believe it is 14% protein, and comtains most of your neccesary amino acids, and tons of nutrients.
If you want to cook it, you can buy it at most grocery stores. I k now Whole foods, Trader Joes, and A&P fresh all carry it.
Soak it for an hour or two then cook in a rice cooker. all set.
CousCous is just pasta, stay away from it if you can.
I love John Berardi's stuff. And there isn't any quackery to it. just no nonsense information.
