has anyone ever made a homemade boxing ring? buying a ring is to expensive..i was wondering what can i use to make one..what kind of mats or flooring will i need to use, what will i need to use to the ropes, the corners all of it..and from this pics, what would be the estimated size of the ring that i could fit?

it would be hard to fit one in there. do you have any room outside?

also be careful sparring on concrete.. dont wanna land head first on that ****.

Nice little set up you have there. I'd keep what you have like it is.
Like mgkirkpatrick said, do you have a back yard or somewhere you could make a ring?

no i dont have no space outside..my backyard goes UPhill and would b hard to make a flat surfaced ring..and i want it inside because when the rain season comes around it wont b a problem..and also now during summer, its reaaal hard sparring outside with 100 degree weather..and im gonna get rid of those couches on the side and clean up a little more around there so it should help with a little more room..thanks for the responses tho

what u need a ring inside ur garage for? u shouldnt be sparring in ur garage anyway. if u go to a gym, why do u need an extra ring for?

I can't exactly see what you have going on there since the pics look kind of dark to me, but that seems like (no offense) a really bad idea. You've got stuff with exposed metal and sharp edges everywhere, plus a concrete floor. To me it looks like if you did any kind of sparring that wasnt extremely light someone would probably end up getting injured.

a small ring would be cool if you had space, i cant see how much space you have, but you would have a very small ring. at least though you wouldn't be sparring on hard floor.

if it were me ide just put mats down.... check out mancino mats for ideas, they'll pad the whole room.

otherwise a 6ft x 6ft ring will be tiny.... youde need at least 10- 12ft square i'de think. but by the time you bought all the supplies it would probly be the same as buying a small ring
