"I want the fight," said Cintron, who is 27-1 with 25 KOs. "I can wrestle. I can box. I can beat those UFC fighters at their own game. Tell Mr. White to make me an offer and I'll take on his guy after I fight Matthysse on July 14."Cintron went on to win the fight by KO 29 seconds into the second round with total dominance. It should be noted that Matthysse was never knocked down prior to this fight but got knocked down twice before the knockdown that caused the KO.

Cintron wrestled in high school and was offered full wrestling scholarships to Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Would love to see this, Dana wanted Floyd but said nothing about this, the feather fisted sherk, great wreslter, great on the ground, but Cintron has dynamite in both hands so would be very exciting

I just rewatched Sherk VS Franca.

Sherk eat 4 straight vicious knees to the face. In order to KO Sherk you will need a combo and it will most likely won't happen in MMA rule.

Sherk by Lay-n-pray decision. It will be a very boring fight to some people...

Yeah those knee's were all vicious and it didn't phase that little monster.

He wasn't ko'd by those knee's cause they werent bang on the chin, all landed on higher parts of his face,

yes...into the temple.

He also ate an upkick and accidentally stuck himself while taking down Hermes.

Hermes may strike crazy, but he's very accurate.

Dude, if this fight DOES happen, and Cintron DOES win....we have so much ammo on those MMA ***gots it wouldn't even be funny. This is basically a win-win situation for Cintron. He will most likely lose (if he does lose) by lay and pray...big deal you lost a grappling match to a superior wrestler.

I hope this fight happens.

I'd like to see those knee on you.

On 4 knees, 3 of them hit him clean. Higher face or not, it would KO the average fighters.

sherk was hurt by the first one but weathered the rest.
and guys, please rewatch the slow mo replays, bang on
the chin for 2 of em. first time id seen sherk and he was
amazing, shut franca right out of the fight. franca couldnt
even get away from the muscleshark, pretty funny really
after francas passionate ring appeals to dana to give him
a world title shot.

as for the MMA vs Boxing debate. why is their a divide ?
if you dont like one or the other fine, but theres no reason
to repeatedly try to say your sport is better and the other
is a complete joke. boxing is my first love (lol) but the bs
corruption, the not making of the biggest fights and dire
bills that promoters usually put together have really pushed
MMA and especially the UFC into the spotlight where they
deservedly belong. some of the matchups in UFC this year
alone have been so impressive that you got to respect them.

the character building they do on their fighters really makes
you want to watch them fight and that adds alot more fun
to the experience than just watching 2 unheard of's fight.
alot of the UFC fighters hat i feel really feel i know quite
abit about ive only seen once or twice, which proves that
its working. i still think these are the UFC's golden years
as id expect a slide in quality matchups as the money earned
by the fighters increases.

so for me, ill always love boxing the most but UFC and MMA
combat general is a great addition to the fight market.

well the thing is i dont think you can say its a win win situation. he stated that he will beat them at their OWN game. and their own game is mma which consist of that. even if it is lay and pray hes saying he use to wrestle and hes good enough to beat the champion. im not saying hes gonna lose and im not saying hes gonna win. no one has seen him do mma so we'll just have to wait and see.

Just cuase a guy can wrestle and box doesn't mean he will be any good at MMA. The individual has to learn how to combine the the disiplines together to form a complete style that is individual to the fighter. This boxer Cintron is an idiot for thinking he can compete against someone who has spent years mastering the art of MMA.

Sherk isn't that ****ing good.

Watch GSP/Sherk. Cintron, if he can simply keep it standing for a short period of time, will KTFO that lay-n-prayer into the ER.

And who the **** is Franca again? Oh yeah, the guy who got absolutely demolished for the Pac Rim SHOOTO title by Braddah Cooper. Come on now.

E

P.S. Sometimes I wonder if any of you even watch MMA

Did you really post that with a straight face?

.Sherk by Lay-n-pray decision. It will be a very boring fight to some people...

If Sherk gets him down, he will tap him, and probably quite quickly. Cintron has boxed and wrestled, but he has NO training in submissions, defending them or applying them.

and i wonder if you have EVER watched mma. you seriously cant compare his fight with in my opinion the number 1 fighter. youre pretty much saying that cintron is just as good as gsp?! thats retarded! stop reading this and hurry to school, the short bus is leaving without you! RUN!

If you really think Cintron can stop Sherk's takedowns because he wrestled years ago in HS, do you also think a guy who competed as an amateur in boxing in HS could like 10 years later, and not training it, defeat a CHAMPION pro boxer in his weight class?

You know it's absurd.

Cintron's height and reach would be an advantage and of course if it stayed in the stand-up Sherk would have trouble dealing with the power of Cintron especially with the 4 oz gloves. If it got to the ground Sherk would have the advantage.

Ok wise man, I would like to see Cintron fight GSP, Hughes and Franca too. let's see if he does any better against these guys. Common sense tells me that he gets his ass handed to him in less than a minutes against these guys.
