Whats the best way to stop or treat blisters? I went running on friday morning and ran pretty hard for about 4-5 miles. A few hours after my run some blisters came up so i burst them with a sterilized needle, squeezed out all of the ****, cleaned them up then put a plaster over them. I thought this would help but when i woke up yesterday morning my feet were absolutely killing me where the blisters were and i could barely walk.
Obviously most of you that are training properly run quite often so how do you personally get past this problem?

also if the blister is at the back of your heel you can put a plaster on it to stop it rubbing

Its obviuosly the shoes, with a decent pair of comfortable shoes running 4-5 miles shouldn't be giving you blisters, go to a running shop and get custom made ones, i done this and its helped me a lot as the pain in my knees have faded aswell
