how do you know when you need to increase the weight on your heavy bag? How much further up should you go?

I go 3 rounds on a lighter bag and then 3 rounds on a heavier bag each day. Why not use each kind? They both have their benefits.

We have a couple of bags that are ****ing rock hard.. I don't know the weight but they are insane. I can literally go like 3 rounds on them before my hands start to hurt. :tapedshut

i agree with the posts that u should use different weight bags. practice on different kinds of weight bags will sharpen u up, if ur hittin them right. my gym only has like the 110 pound bags, so thats all i do, but if u got access to light and heavy bags, nice.

My coach has told me to go on the lightest bags there now. It works my foot movement and speed. Because the bag is so little everytime I hit it with a good combo it moves so I have to move around to hit it on the other side so it wont move again. It works really good with snaps.
