bishop2006 07-13-2007, 07:28 PM I aint liked 50 these past years, but the video and song is kinda hot
MetalVomit 07-13-2007, 07:34 PM way better than that amusement park ****. The audio two sample is nice.
wolfgang 07-13-2007, 07:56 PM its a dope beat though.
Kobe Bryant 07-13-2007, 08:07 PM Yeah I'm feelin this joint nice sample as well.
winkyisnasty13 07-14-2007, 01:45 AM Has he ever written a real track?
neils7147933 07-14-2007, 02:25 AM Those little couplets are screaming Diddy. Thought 50 was more lyrical than that... The 'write a check' line is out-of-place too. If he was writing checks, making girls 'millionaires', he wouldn't be in court over support...

Yeah, never have expected much from him, lyrically.
-Antonio- 07-14-2007, 01:54 PM Its ok. Man his CD is going to suck if these last three singles are the best he can come up with. 50 is irrelevant now. His 15 minutes are up.
The Fix 07-14-2007, 03:03 PM So what do you really think about those guys who say they're not going to curse anymore?
They're just saying it. They're not going to really do it.
Yeah, it's hard to imagine Ghostface is going to stop cursing, especially considering his last couple of records.
The peanut gallery: "Nobody even cares what he does." "Who's listening to him, anyway?" "That was the '90s, B. Kids don't even know Ghostface anymore." "The streets are different now," says Yayo. "Guys like Ghostface don't matter. They don't. They had a run, but it's over."
But can't he just make a great record, even if it doesn't sell, and we can appreciate it as listeners, as hip-hop fans? No, because a great record is embraced and enjoyed by the public. And it's played in cars and clubs.
What if it sells a couple hundred thousand copies, isn't that valid? Or does it have to sell millions for you to take it seriously? In my camp, a couple hundred thousand records is a failure. From my perspective, if I sell 200,000 copies, after selling 12 million records, it's considered terrible.
But maybe he's trying to make a different kind of record?
What, the kind people don't buy?
No, one with incredible, detailed storytelling that's moving and powerful, and isn't dependent on some obvious hook.Look, I understand all that. But if you're on a major record label, and he [Ghostface] is, and you sell a couple hundred thousand records, that was a failure. Your ****in' photos and videos aren't recouped with 200,000 copies sold.
OK, but can you at least acknowledge that a commercial flop, like, say, [Ghostface's] Supreme Clientele, can still be an artistic achievement?
"He didn't even write that album, man," says Yayo, his eyes narrowing.
What?
Yayo: "He didn't write it. That kid from Far Rockaway -- Superb -- he wrote that record. You know Superb from Far Rock?"
No, and that's a pretty serious charge.
[50 quickly jumps back in] I don't know nothing about any of that. He's the writer. I'm not gonna say he ain't write it. But it still didn't work! I mean, when I make music, I make it with the intention that the world's gonna enjoy it. I have music that I feel like is really good music, but I haven't released it. There's things playing at my house right now that's never gonna be played on the radio. And that music isn't out there, because I didn't feel like enough people would actually respond to it.
50 is about to catch another beatdown..... ghost doesnt play around... and what the **** is yayo thinking? yayo ever gone gold, in his whole career?
supreme clientele was platinum
fishscale went gold.... where the **** are they getting 200,000 from?
Smokin' 07-14-2007, 08:35 PM Didn't Ghostface slap 50 a couple of times and scare the **** out of him he had to cancel a show. Ghostface is a hard guy for sure, and I don't agree with what 50 is saying...
However, I found this 'I Get Money' song about as weak as Amusement Park and I liked Straight to the Bank better. I've heard he was originally gonna put out an album called 'Before I Self Destruct' that actually had some real songs but it looks like he is just trying to cash in a little more in his beef with Cam'ron and make some more money before putting out that album.
Damn, this album is going to be all about money and hoes...I'm expecting about a 30% success rate in terms of the songs.
fasman 07-15-2007, 09:37 AM nahh, not feeling dat... only track dat was decent so far was straight to the bank...
Also, why is Yayo talking like he sells millions himself, his a joke, no1 takes him serious.. i.e, BET awards (T.I). He cant **** with Ghostface....
Kobe Bryant 07-15-2007, 09:56 AM I'm feelin I get Money, Straight to the bank is cool. And the beat for Amusement Park is dope as **** in my opinion. I think it's better than Candy Shop.
-Antonio- 07-15-2007, 03:01 PM I just think 50 is played out. When you do the same tracks over and over again it gets old. He needs to switch things up.
Magic Stick = Candy Shop = Amusement Park
Its the same thing over and over, and his lyrical skills cant carry him through that because hes average at best. Im surprised he doesnt name drop Dre as much as Game does because he owes him a lot. Without Dre he is just another guy.
Eruthless666 07-16-2007, 06:27 PM 50 stole that beat from some dude on myspace theres a lawsuit out there already, and ghostface could end his career in 16 bars

yeah thats why I love 50...he gets me amped. His lyrics are like he has a chip on his shoulder.
MetalVomit 07-18-2007, 08:30 PM His lyrics are like he has a chip on his shoulder.
a repetitive chip on his shoulder. It seems like he has no ambition to keep his rhymes fresh. Not fresh as in good, fresh as in new/different/not the same as the preceding album. We'll see though, maybe he fixed that for the upcoming album.

Yeah I agree with you there. I think Curtis is going to be garbage, he is getting VERY repetitive now, especially how 2 out of 3 of his singles are about how he makes a lot of money.
