T.I. proves that he’s got star power even in today’s barren record-selling environment, as T.I. vs. TIP manages to sell a staggering 467k at the #1 spot in its first week. Kelly Rowland’s Ms. Kelly also debuted this week at #6, selling 82k. Rounding out the debuts is Pastor Troy, whose album Tool Muziq comes in at #91 with 8k sold.
Pharoahe Monch plummets nearly 100 spots this week, and lands at #153. The emcee’s album Desire sells 4k in its second week, bringing his total to 17k. The Beastie Boys slip 11 spots in their second week, as Mix-Up comes in at #36 with 18k (62k total).
Also slipping this week is DJ Khaled who drops 11 spots as well, with We The Best coming in at #48 with 14k (143k overall).
The Shop Boyz’ Rockstar Mentality moves 22k units this week, bringing their total to 103k. Ne-Yo hardly budges, as Because of You drops two spots to #23, selling 29k this week (635k overall). The story is much the same with Timbaland, who only drops one spot to #42, as Shock Value sells 17k this week (430k overall).
