heres a new one
edit - i forgot to mention but if you guys can post any videos of yourself or anybody hitting the bag so i can learn a few techniques from that'd be great.
SpeedKillz 07-09-2007, 11:44 PM whew..well..... keep ur hands up, move ur head, bring ur hands back to ur face, move ur head, move ur body, move ur feet, dont lean straight back, bend ur knees, put ur body into the punch more. looks like u got a good base for speed, so get into a gym immediately!!! u need lots of work IMO, but i think with training u could improve greatly. good luck.
kcpalm 07-09-2007, 11:48 PM don't stop and grab the bag and put it into place. you don't get to do that to an apponent!!
FIGHTING_FLIP 07-10-2007, 12:42 AM it wasnt half bad..but move around your bag like you would against an opponent..find your range so you can extend your punches out more, put more hip in to your right and step in more with your left..not good but not that bad..keep workin on it kid
IronNick. 07-10-2007, 01:21 AM move .
Terrible but still managed to be better then some people who actually go to a gym hahahahahahaha but yeah, way to many things to correct. Why don't you go to a gym?

mickeyb 07-10-2007, 09:30 AM Omg. Watch the video again...the actual earth shakes when he punches the bag. Its like watching a God hit the bag.
Desaturated 07-10-2007, 09:47 AM You have the same problem I did when I started.
You have Danny Williams syndrome.
Move. You look like your built for speed. Use it.
Man all though not relevant but you need to put some muscle on, it looks like your arms gona break when you hit that bag.
You look like you bring your jab back then throw it, dnt do it. Also you need to move alot more and put your hips into the shots.

haha yea i agree with you... i've always been skinny and have a fast ass metabolism which sucks but i can't help it. i was thinking if i train and stuff muscle would come naturally.
and thanks for the honest advices so far guys, i guess my first priority is moving around more

lol it's better you have a fast metabolism than a slow one. I eat shit for a week or so and i can see myself getting fat lol.
Not bad for a beginer, just get to a gym where they will teach you the stuff videos and books cant.
King James III 07-10-2007, 11:50 PM stay on the tip of ur toes....and point ur shoulder towards the bag ...ur too square and a easy taarget to hit

heres a new one i did today
chilly9876 07-11-2007, 06:38 AM Work on one thing at a time, turn your wrist as you're about to hit the bag so that your fist is horizontal, it'll help lock your elbow when you strike, because your jabs are landing with your fist vertical on the bag.
When your bobing and weaving your leaving your right hand low

ryu89 07-11-2007, 04:00 PM honetly...your hitting it like your trying to look cool. if your gonna hit it like that, then do atleast six punches, fast and hard.
left

left hook

back away
repeat.
*i just got back into the gym myself*
but ill try to get a vid of what im talking about.
CSF Geist 07-11-2007, 04:11 PM Not bad at all for someone who has no formal trainer.
I believe with a trainer you could be great if you stay dedicated.
The guy who said your trynig to look kul..is right on the money....if you want to learn how to fight proeprly..you need to get rid of this..i wna look kul thing...when you hit twist your upper half of your body as you do so..it may feel awkward to do it at first..but you will get used to it..you get far more power into your punches with some body movement..and from your clips..you dnt use much of your body weight through any of your punches....and the guy who said bulk up...i wouldnt recommend it...bulking up would make you slower...unless your doing this all for ego..and to look kul..stay lean...and work on the fundamentals..and you will be very quick..and it'l be hard for any average guy on the street to kick your ass..and you'd be not so bad sparring with people at the gym....but remember keep moving...you dnt move much..maybe you have problems with your stamina?...bounce on your toes lke one guy mentioned...and when you land drop your toes get back on your soles, and use your body weight to go through on your punches.....but honestly kid, you've got a decent shape to you..and you've got a bit of speed..work on those few things..and you'l be pretty decent (obviously not the ww champ of the world)...but decent enough
SquareCircle 07-12-2007, 11:15 PM i think you should work on a left hook behind that right hand, personally. aside from that, work on the jab more. make that jab solid, like a 2x4 coming out of a basement window.
