Oh yes, my best friend has 28 days to leave the country or he will be deported.

He found this out after an operation on his ankle. The fifth I believe, in as many months (3 the past six weeks ALONE), all due to a botched operation and their lack of hygeine thanks to some ****ass doctor who got his degree from a cereal box, giving him a staph infection. Whilst he is coming down from the morphine he is given this news.

He has no passport because he lost it in the bushfires in NSW early last year. He tells them this knowing he has to get to Canberra (that's where the Canadian embassy is that gives out the passports) and at this stage, cannot even walk without crutches and has to go back in for an operation Thursday week. He asks for a little bit more time at the very least under compassionate grounds.

"It's not our problem" is what he is told. Compassionate grounds don't exist. **** I'd hate to be hit by a car if I was due to leave on day 27 and needed immediate open heart surgery or something!!!

**** what the people say. American immigration has got nothing on the Aussies.

You don't need to be an educated, hard working business owner to stay in this country. You do not need to be providing a service or create jobs for people. You to be some illegal Muslim alien picked up off a ****ing boat with no ID and only a sob story to stay in this country.

I told him to look on the bright side, that once again, it would appear we will be sharing the same continent. More than ever, it looks like a trip to Cali could be on the cards for Astroboy (if I have a say in the matter, he will).

I am hoping to drink with the bastard this weekend, but as it stands I don't even know what his plans are... and neither does he. Poor bastard....

ill be going to canberra on monday and coming back tuesday

all my paper work will be gathered and finalised on that day

I try to look at the humor in this... because to be honest, through Jake, I've truly come to appreciate the humor of the words "Australian" and "deportation" in the same sentence. Astroboy talks even more than Jake does at times, so this is just that much funnier. If I ever wanted to make a break in Hollywood, I could write a script based on you two and your efforts to leave wherever it is you ****in came from. You Aussies don't just hop borders, you ****ing pole vault them. Hilarity.
