I'm looking at two different bag gloves, the IMF Tech's from Ringside and the Title GEL World's. The IMFs are 14 oz and have 2.5" padding at the knuckles. The Title's are 20 oz. and have 2" padding at the knuckles but have the profile of a 12 oz glove. I am told that both are comfortable and of excellent quality. Is 20 oz. just too heavy? I am only 135 lbs. and worried that despite their smaller profile they are just too much. Any thoughts? Thanks much.

it all depends on the size of your hands and how big the gloves are. If they are to big then it is very uncomfortable. I got a pair of ringside ultimate bag gloves and the are to big for me. The strap is suppose to be on my wrist but they end up being on my forearms. They probally weigh 18 or 20 oz and i really dont use em much cause they are to big

I just bought a pair of Everlast gloves, they could be anywhere from 12-20 oz...I didn't want 12 because they would be too light in my opinion, and I felt like at 18 and 20 oz, that may be a little too heavy for me(I'm just a beginner, and I don't want to sacrifice tehcnique and/or endurance to build up strength), plus I will be using the gloves for sparring, not just bag work.
So I went with the 16 oz gloves...they should be coming in next week. Something I also considered was the fact that these gloves will be used for both sparring and bag work. If you have another pair of gloves specifically for sparring, that could be a factor.
