Why is it that people from britain can chant better than americans? example the hatton fans the other night singing, i've seen so many americans on the forums impressed or just noticing the singing a lot more. It just rolls off the tounge for us i think, easier to sound gruff as well. American chanting is just funny "LETS.GO.DE.FENSE" haha.

A gathering of Mancunian sports fans would put any choir in it's place, so it would.

its practise i guess. You don't get to many Americans chanting at there sports do ya? .... not that i've ever been to any Yank sports games.
I always thought Americans shouted and cheered alot more though... to the point of being annoying and cheering at **** all.
Like.."YEAH! YEAH! GO!! WHOOP WHOOP!!"

My dad brought one of his work collegues (an american chap) to a Albion match a couple of seasons back. The game was boring and dull and the atmosphere was below average, I'm pretty sure we were playing Fulham. But the american chap keep going on and on about how amazing the atmosphere was and he'd never seen anything like it before. I can only imagine how bad that means the atmosphere is in the states at sport.

We definitley lead the way when it comes to crowd atmosphere, when an American team were over to box my local amatuer team they couldnt believe the atmosphere at the show they said theyd never seen anything like it before. When I went to canada to see my local amatuer team box there the Canadians couldnt believe an amatuer club had brought fans over with them to support them, they were more shocked when we started singing they said it made the atmosphere.
We took the American team to a Sunderland Vs West Ham match and they were blown away by the chanting and singing.

Aye mate they wont have theyve nothing to compare Hattons following to thats why some of them on here try to make it that its a racist following. How many American boxers could bring thousands of fans to the UK to see em fight?? I'll tell ya know ****in none of em!! thats how many.
