English_Lion 06-26-2007, 04:10 PM nicky cook will have him for breakfast come 14th july.
The Monk 06-28-2007, 05:05 PM Haven't seen Luevano but I hear he is a pretty decent boxer. I'm bit worried that Cook could be outboxed here, bit overated if you ask me. He has plenty of heart though so you never know.
Mech. 06-28-2007, 11:43 PM Whats cook's style?
Luevano has decent skills, counter punching style.Hes not elite level though, at all.
Luevano is screwed though, if theyre fighting in London.
The Monk 06-29-2007, 10:23 AM Cook is a brawler but does have some nice boxing skills. He's a good body puncher and also has a pretty mean left hook. But I would put him on the level below world class. The figth is in London but Leuvano will only get screwed if he comes here and does'nt get into the fight. The uk isn't like Germany, granted many of the close rounds go to the hometown fighter but if you can come here and impose yourself you will get the decision.
Mech. 06-29-2007, 11:15 AM I said that screwed bit knowing a little about luevano, ive seen 3 or 4 of his fights, including his loss.
Close rounds will definetly go to Cook, and I expect Luevano to have lots of close rounds in this fight, Id give him a shot at a close decision if the territory was a little more neutral. Luevano isnt really the imposing type.
and lay off ze germans.
The Monk 06-29-2007, 05:13 PM Ze germans cannot be trusted! I hope nobody gets a rough decison in this fight. Im actually quite interested to see how the counter puncher deals with the brawler, could make for a good fight.
majestiC 06-29-2007, 06:59 PM I would go for a Cook decision on this one, he certainly has got a easier option after Harrison's problems (fighting styles). Looking forward to seeing this bill, Cook could be the next Hatton.
the british do call it more fairly then the germanz
Jimmy The Gent 07-14-2007, 03:19 PM cook already down in the 2nd
majestiC 07-14-2007, 03:37 PM lol cook has been awful starting to wake up now tho
Jimmy The Gent 07-14-2007, 03:47 PM I had Luevano winning the first 6 with the KD so even if cook wins the remaining rounds he is still behind as i speak hes down again
Jimmy The Gent 07-14-2007, 03:48 PM down again for the 3rd time
weepaul 07-14-2007, 03:52 PM Keep the updates coming please. I have $120 on this fight.
Jimmy The Gent 07-14-2007, 03:54 PM he was down again in the 10th and he has been put down for the 5th time in the 11th. Fights over now Cook defeated
majestiC 07-14-2007, 03:55 PM LOL cook aint gonna feel rosey tommorow morning.
weepaul 07-14-2007, 03:56 PM Good stuff. I bet $120 to win $100 on Cook getting beat.
*2TOUGH* 07-14-2007, 04:00 PM cook showed alot of heart, but the yank was too good... cook can win a world title... just not yet, maybe about 4-5 more fights later
The Monk 07-14-2007, 04:02 PM Wow that was a hell of a beating. Fair play to Cook for getting off the deck and throwing everything at Leuvano but he was hugely out of his depth tonight. Leuvano is a pretty decent boxer to say the least and I will be definatly follwoing his career from now. That 10th round was a great round of boxing, non stop action.
Southpaw Stinger 07-14-2007, 04:03 PM ouch cook got his ass handed to him.

hes just a good boxer that fights well on the retreat.. he will be beaten soon. hes not special, Scott Harrison would have beaten him and Cook
Desaturated 07-14-2007, 04:07 PM Cooke bottled the first 4-5 rounds. More about Cooke's short coming than Lue dominating it.
Class apart though..

He aint special but he'l still be a tough fight for most featherweights out there. He has alot of tools in his favour . I agree about Harrison, he would have ate cook for breakfast.
