View Full Version : losing weight...and muscle :(
danny stash 06-21-2007, 09:10 AM I have lost like 12 pounds in the last 3 or 4 months by upping my cardio regimen and eating better (less protein too) and I have lost some muscle and some fat but i dont like how i am looking. Its almost as if i am deflating and getting saggy a bit. Anyone else have this experience? This is my first year seriously boxing so i am not used to this. So is this a temporary transition or i am gonna continue to thin out and keep an layer of fat around my gut. Small layer but ****ing annoying. Help me

i ate very clean and neglected my weight training.
i lost a considerable amount of weight but my muscle tone
was not firm.
Currently i have fixed this problem, and am working out twice a day.
weight training in the day, cardio late night.

why less protein? you should lift some weights and still maintain protein intake too. if ur liftin, doin all ur cardio and skill training, u will lean out real good but still look muscular. u shouldnt be lookin saggy at all its gotta be ur nutrition i'm pretty sure. wuts ur daily workout and nutrition regimen like??
boxing4ever 06-21-2007, 11:33 AM ive been in that possition before. the problem your experiencing is you have to give your body some time to catch up and get used to being in the newer weight you are or else you will feel weak and tired for a few days
you could still keep up your protein intake, just lower your calorie intake, and dont stop lifting

danny stash 06-23-2007, 12:50 PM Well speed to be honest i am gonna try to fight at cruiser (200) but i am taking the loss real slow. Probably will be ready in 6 months. What about you, I am guessing 165?

165 is my ideal most comfortable weight yea. it sucks now cuz i'm tryin to drop and i'm STUC at 179-180 i cant lose the weight for 2 weeks i been stuck there and i eat cleaner than clean and workout 6 days a week, twice a day, religiously. any dieting tips? i'm tryin to get back in the ring in september but i'm stuck at 179 WTF!!!

i am doing some running..need to do more. Just started doing one hour intense boxing conditioning classes at the gym so that should do it.
Tuggers1986 06-25-2007, 12:56 PM To lose it slow is the best way. that way it stays off. 2 years ago i weighed 254lbs. Weighed myself this morning and im 208. Running is probably the best way to drop it. aswell as eating right you cant go wrong.
