Here are the latest notes were are receiving from our on-location reporter in Atlantic City for UFC 41:

-As far as "shock" announcements such as the Tank Abbott return announcement back in November for UFC's last show, many are expecting something. Tito Ortiz is nowhere to be found from all accounts, so it's unlikely that it will be the announcement that Ortiz has finally signed to fight Chuck Liddell. Some very small talk that Mark Kerr could possibly be around, those are the most far-fetched. Most likely is that Murilo Bustamante has signed an extension to continue fighting in UFC, and will fight the winner of Baroni/Lindland at UFC 41 tonight. There is also some talk that Royce Gracie is going to follow the pattern of Ken Shamrock and Tank Abbott with a return, as well as some talk about Heath Herring possibly signing on to give the slumping Heavyweight division a good swift kick in the butt. Ken Shamrock told me earlier today, plain and simple, "Uhm, you know what? I think that's why you gotta watch. Call your cable or satelitte operators, you know what I mean? Watch the show. See what transpires man, you never know what's going to happen in the Ultimate Fighting Championship."

-The friends over at MMAWeekly.com are claiming that the UFC is going to capitalize on the feud between Phil Baroni and Matt Lindland with some good pre-produced vignettes and interviews. Both Baroni and Lindland reportedly cut very candid and colorful interviews last night that will air on the PPV tonight to add to the excitement in this grudge match.

He'll be fighting at WW, so no final showdown w/ Ken Shamrock and hell will freeze over before they sign back Frank especially to fight Royce and niether would aree to the rules. But i actually think he'd be interesting. Against Busta I imagine the MMA community would get the most entertainment. I really could care les though to be honest. I think Pride would again ajust teh rules for him and although it's unfair I think it's nice to see Royce in the old school atmosphere.

From what I've heard, from Dana himself, both have priced themselves way to high
