When people say there snaking on "nuts" what kind of nuts are we talking about.
I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I am not sure where to start?

I was just gonna post that recipe. Mad K comin' your way, bro.
Fraidycat's Breakfast Shake
1 cup quick oats
2 scoops whey protein
2 cups nonfat milk or apple juice
1/2 cup (approx. 1/2 a fist-sized hunk) fruit or berries
Put it all in a blender, whip till frothy, and chug half of it. Put the other half in the fridge, and blend it again and drink it after your workout.
With milk: ~400 calories, 40g protein, 2g fat in 1/2 a serving
With apple juice: ~600 calories, 25g protein, 2g fat in 1/2 a serving.
Instead of berries, you can use a banana, or a tablespoon of peanut butter, or a couple of oranges, or Ovaltine, or whatever trips your trigger. Something to give it flavor. We pick blackberries all summer and freeze them in 1-gallon bags, so that's what I use.
Edit: This has about as many calories as I like to have at any given meal. The oats increase the burn time (the "stick to your ribs" factor; I hate that I feel empty an hour after eating a regular protein shake) and give you fiber to help you feel full, the apple juice and/or fruit gives you a quick-start sugar kick and also increases protein uptake, and the protein is of course necessary if you train. 25g of protein is about the same as a small chicken breast or a can of tuna. Fresh berries are high in antioxidants, which will help your aches and contusions heal faster and may make you less susceptible to bruising in the ring. This is, IMO, just about the perfect food for boxing.
