We need him badly. He' experienced where Lennon and the others arent, also the team just don't play well without him there, when Beckham was back the morality of the team changed tremedously.

I am one of Beckhams critics, basically imo he is the most overated player of all time. But he was actually quite good against Brazil and Estonia so he should get the chance in the next qualifiers. I thought Lennon was injured? He definatly needs to be playing by the time of Euro 2008..if we get there of course.

Jermain Pennant will never be good enough to play for England, Lennon is far too inconsistent at the moment and Phillips is lucky to get a game for Chelsea so unless he moves it will be difficult to justify his inclusion.
