After watching the cotto judah fight last night,
and seeing cotto change stances quite alot, so i decided to try it in sparing today. See naturally i'm a southpaw but when i switched to orthadox i found it alot easier, my jab was harder and connected more also i felt much more confident throwing combinations as they were coming of my hard left jab and hook. To add to this when my opponent come in i connected with several hard left hooks to the body which were quite good.
I just wonder have any of you changed from your natural stance and found easier to fight or more effective. :boxing:

Same here, it flows so much easier when practicing combos then when sticking to a stance.

i do it mostly when i aint doing too well, so i can land a few good jabs and get chance to recover or get prepared again, then i change back

I think when i get under pressure and cover up i switch stances as i feel comfortable useing a hard left jab to get out of trouble and then go on the attack with it. :boxing:

its just that it makes my straight left shit because i never practice that, or straight right in your case

I'm left handed and used to spar southpaw but just spar orthodox now and feel stronger for it.
