View Full Version : Sugar Ray Robinson or Chris Eubank? msagrain 06-10-2007, 06:35 AM who better? get voteing UN7OUCHABLE 06-10-2007, 06:39 AM england can suck my ballls English_Lion 06-10-2007, 07:45 AM Untouchable you can suck my balls. As for the thread question, i think its abit too silly to compare eubank to a prime sugar ray robinson who many consider the greatest boxer to grace the ring. Eubank was awsome however, his power and atheletic ability were fantastic aswell as his personality but the sugar is far to sweet for 90% of the boxers who have boxed. msagrain 06-10-2007, 07:54 AM Untouchable you can suck my balls. GEOFFHAYES 06-11-2007, 02:01 AM Srr Ko 1 1:30. Eubank had probably the best chin there's been in boxing Ray would do well to do that! McNulty 06-11-2007, 02:35 AM Eubank had probably the best chin there's been in boxing Ray would do well to do that! Do you know who Gene Fullmer was? porlie 06-11-2007, 10:16 AM Eubank was good but to make him out as some sort of good fight and credible challenger for Sugar Ray Robinson is an insult to the intelligence of anyone who knows anything about boxing. No1 06-11-2007, 10:18 AM Robinson would rape him porlie 06-11-2007, 10:21 AM Eubank never went to America and fought top ranked people the way Benn did, Eubank was good but he wasnt a great. me2007 06-11-2007, 03:34 PM Eubank wins by KO porlie 06-11-2007, 03:38 PM Eubank wins by KO Haha your madder than a March hare on the funny powder. mickeyb 06-11-2007, 03:42 PM Winner : Eubank, knockout round one. McNulty 06-11-2007, 04:14 PM Dude only beat Nigel Benn and got a ****load of losses to no names. Talk about UK hype machine. O wait....Chris did beat Ray Close twice and KO'd Luis Dionisio Barrera. Ya'll got to be kidding me!!!! GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA me2007 06-12-2007, 08:30 AM lets be honest, no one will ever be better than those old ****ers like SRR and some nob head fron 1820 who fought 1000 rounds with no arms or legs. Face up to reality. Eubank would beat down SRR all day and all night. HE would own him. So would Nigel Benn and so would alot of other people. Just cos sports writers have a hard on for these old time ****ers doesn`t mean they are invincible. msagrain 06-12-2007, 01:19 PM nah it would probs go all 12 rounds McNulty 06-12-2007, 02:00 PM ya'll gotta quit smoking dust. porlie 06-12-2007, 02:27 PM Anyone who tries to make out Eubank coulda beat or gave Robinson a hard close fight is on cloud cuckoo land. Boxalot 06-17-2007, 08:19 AM Sugar Ray would clean his clock bro!!! he is P4p the best fighter in history!!! Eubank only has a punchers shot!!! Not to say he couldnt land one lucky shot but Ray was unlike anyone ive ever seen!!! A freak of nature!!! The Man could do it all!!! Slug, Box, Dance, put the pressure on and even fight off the back foot!!! Ive seen him knock guys out while going backwards!!! Ray Robinson wins this fight easy!!! While Eubank undeniably had a brilliant punch, Ray Robinsons chin was aamzing and he is unlikely to have been KO'd by a single shot. Sugar Ray was only KO'd once (and that was a TKO!) and that can be blamed on the searing heat which caused the referee to retire halfway through the fight against Joey Maxim. To answer the question, over 12 rounds Sugar Ray comfortably outpoints Eubank in my opinion. Eubank openly admits he was in boxing for the money and he didn't do it for his love of the sport, which would mean he didn't want to suffer any unnecessary punishment. Saying that, Eubanks chin was awesome and would have taken him the distance against Robinson. McNulty 06-17-2007, 02:33 PM Anyone who tries to make out Eubank coulda beat or gave Robinson a hard close fight is on cloud cuckoo land. I wouldnt expect a Brit to diss one of their own. As a boxing fan, I respect your integrity.:fing02: Archie Leach 06-17-2007, 07:08 PM who better? get voteing is this thread a joke? only an englishman would compare robinson to that trash eubank LemonChiff 06-17-2007, 07:25 PM I wouldnt expect a Brit to diss one of their own. As a boxing fan, I respect your integrity.:fing02: The British mentality is to think we're **** and under-rate ourselves As for Eubank, every British boxing fan hates him and always has.. LemonChiff 06-17-2007, 07:25 PM is this thread a joke? only an englishman would compare robinson to that trash eubank Eubank was "Simply The Best"? Archie Leach 06-17-2007, 07:33 PM Eubank was "Simply The Best"? he was simply a ***** that couldnt take a body punch, and used to hide under his bed, because he was so scared of james toney and roy jones. i think its funny how during the time of eubank and benn your british media used to make it seem like they were the only decent middleweights in the world. when in reality they both suck. futurebeast67 06-17-2007, 09:16 PM eubank woudnt last long agianst sugar ray robinson no matter what he does sugar ray can beat him doing the opposite porlie 06-18-2007, 11:38 AM he was simply a ***** that couldnt take a body punch, and used to hide under his bed, because he was so scared of james toney and roy jones. i think its funny how during the time of eubank and benn your british media used to make it seem like they were the only decent middleweights in the world. when in reality they both suck. No way Benn sucked, he went to the states and fought and beat top ranked men of the day. He beat McClellan who was highly rated. Eubank cant be compared to Robinson though I agree thats a stupid comparison. msagrain 06-18-2007, 11:41 AM is this thread a joke? only an englishman would compare robinson to that trash eubank its a fukin poll who care n yes i think an american would do this poll to LemonChiff 06-18-2007, 11:46 AM They were both special fighters Panamaniac 06-18-2007, 12:49 PM This is one of the dumbest polls I've ever seen. What's next, Joe Louis vs. Lennox Lewis? Please... hemichromis 06-18-2007, 01:30 PM eubank is grossly underrated by many american posters here But i don't think he would beat sugar ra robinson, the man was a near perfect bocxing mahine! however eubank would stand a very good chance of beating hearns hagler duran an leonard hemichromis 06-18-2007, 01:33 PM heres my welter/ middle list robinson hagler eubank leonard hearns ii think benn would struggle even to be sixth but like hearns he always had very exciting fights Archie Leach 06-18-2007, 02:08 PM No way Benn sucked, he went to the states and fought and beat top ranked men of the day. He beat McClellan who was highly rated. Eubank cant be compared to Robinson though I agree thats a stupid comparison. benn was a hard hitting exciting fighter. but he also had a glass chin and terrible stamina. if that fight was officiated properly it would have been a ko in 1 for mclellen. watch the fight again and you will see benn is helped back into the ring and that dirty cunt ref gives benn extra time to recover after the count and literly holds mclellen back! benn didnt injure mclellen that ref did benn and eubank dodged lights out toney, roy jones and michael nunn. Archie Leach 06-18-2007, 02:22 PM eubank would stand a very good chance of beating hearns hagler duran an leonard lay of the drugs son Nostromo 06-18-2007, 02:34 PM The general concensus among boxing's astute observers is that (#4#) Sugar Ray Robinson - to this day - remains the single greatest practicioner of the 'sweet science.' To conjure-up a hypothical opponet that would defeat him is pure poppy****! Archie Leach 06-18-2007, 02:54 PM i agree poppy**** |
