This would be like Louis' fight with Two Ton Tony, Shavers would try to go for the kill and even knock down Louis, but Louis would survive and win by late TKO.

Louis would destroy Shavers in the first round! Shavers has a terrible chin, and is slow, with lack of fundamentals. Louis would tear into him very quickly, much like he tore into guys like Schmeling, Lewis, and B. Baer. Shavers would be in for an unpleasant suprise!

Shavers fights with heart and punching power but loses late in the 10th or so round after a previously cautious Louis opens up and knocks his head off...But if Earnie hits him it is OVER, 4 out of 5 for Louis.

Whoever lands the first right hand wins.

I'd imagine Louis would be smart and avoid Shavers early activity. Then open up & stop him in the mid rounds when Ernie is gassed.
