View Full Version : Does anybody think Sugar Shane can win? His chance is small, I think. He can only try to outwork Wright, but that won't happen without good doping. Unless Wright goes on a drinking spree before the rematch, Wright will win the rematch convincingly. marvdave 10-17-2004, 07:34 PM I haven't heard anybody giving this guy a chance to win this rematch with Winky Wright, don't get me wrong I think Winky will KO him late but I was just wondering is anybody giving this guy a chance? i give him little to no chance. It will be more of the same for Mosley. Wright will give him another Boxing lesson. Might even get him out of there late, but most likely unanimous dec for Winky. Shane is a very talented guy, but he is fighting out of weight class. 154 is too much for his small stature to hold. Yarmez 10-17-2004, 07:47 PM I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Sugar Shane will win a UD, In a decent fight, (Which is hard to belive Wright having One) I think Shane has something to prove, don't get me wrong i really don't like Shane Mosely and I hope he gets his head Knocked Off, but i have this feeling we are gonna see a trilogy between these 2. Exciterx24 10-17-2004, 09:32 PM Wright will win another wide decision. His style is perfect to make Mosley look like a fool. Great defense, good jab, not too much power but still good enough, plus the southpaw stance. Wright W 12 The Fix 10-17-2004, 10:25 PM sugar shane will outwork winky wirght because this is the biggest fight of his career and he is a must win situation. this will set up a trilogy and the winner could face tito borikua 10-17-2004, 10:32 PM I'll go with Winky by D..but i'm not too thrilled with this one...I'm more interested in the Tszyu-Mitchell and Barrera-Morales fight... reppaken 10-17-2004, 11:59 PM I think Shane can win it. Problem is that Wright is really good at cutting off the ring. I mean he's amazing. I think in order for Sugar to win he is gonna have to get in and get out. Use angles and spin wright around. That is the only way I see him winning. Of course he will probably stand right in front of him. restless_438 10-18-2004, 12:26 AM Ww Bwo Ko :D mic573 10-18-2004, 12:33 AM If Mosley doesn't move his head and just hangs it out there like he did in the first fight Winky will just pick up where he left off but do it more convincingly and maybe stop him late. Mosley doesn't have the movement and is slower with his hands to really do anything at 154. Mr. Untouchable 10-18-2004, 01:57 AM Sugar Shane is wack!!!!!!!!!! There are still some guys he can beat, but Winky just isn't one of them. vB Martin 10-18-2004, 02:00 AM sugar substitute shane will lose badly. lopsided decision Splenda Shane? THRILLAinmanila 10-18-2004, 02:40 AM Winky is too crafty a boxer for Shane. Mosley is good, but Winky is his alter ego. Fearless Forecast : Winky repeats in November mr.thraz 10-18-2004, 02:42 AM mosley has moved up in weight too much without adapting his style for fighting taller fighters. also the extra weight has slowed him down, further eroding his effectiveness. he is still pretty fast on the inside, but without a style to help him get in there he's pretty hopeless against top flight oppostion with a jab. if i where mosley i'd fight every round southpaw and try to take away some of wrights compfort level and and rhythm as well as take away his jab. if it were anyone else that would be horriable advice but mosley is a true switch hitter, in the first dlh fight mosley was losing all the rounds that dlh was jabbing in, but mid fight mosley switched southpaw and that caused dlh to stop jabbing. that imo is his best bet, even southpaws like wright have trouble with other southpaws and maybe he can create openings for himself to score and work the body. other than that, barring a "tarver" like k.o. i don't see him doing much in this fight. Ballagoal 10-18-2004, 05:52 AM Mosley will Knock him Out early. I think that Shane goes for the Knock Out in the early Rounds and he will land only one big Combination. jabsRstiff 10-18-2004, 08:35 AM Mosley looked totally anemic in the first fight, & I see nothing changing in the rematch. His confidence has been steadily reduced over the last few years, & he just looks lik he has no zip or real strength at 154. Winky is just one seriously solid pro fighter. He's exceptional at nothing except winning. His defense is too tight for Moes to penetrate....& even if Shane connects, there's no effect. psychopath 10-18-2004, 08:44 AM I say yes Sugar Shane has a decent chance to turn the table here in their rematch. This is a close one just like the first encounter. Sugar started very late on that one reason why Winky has established himself very well and was able to built up so much confidence. If Sugar can hurt Winky early it might change the Winkys disposition and fighting style. ;) Palma 10-18-2004, 08:50 AM I haven't heard anybody giving this guy a chance to win this rematch with Winky Wright, don't get me wrong I think Winky will KO him late but I was just wondering is anybody giving this guy a chance? I like Shane, I think he's one hell of a fighter. But I do not think that he is going to be able to pull it off in regards to his upcoming fight with Winky. Winky is one of the most dangerous fighters around. He's dangerous because for so many years people have never openly given him acollades for being the fighter he is. DLH was ducking him cause he and his management were afraid of him. Winky is hungry and his reign will last. I don't see anyone beating Winky unless he moves up in weight. jack_the_rippuh 10-18-2004, 10:50 AM Should Mosley lose he will be demoted from top contender to journeyman in my book.. guru 10-18-2004, 10:53 AM shane should move down to 147..... he can beat zab and spinks, but not forrest, who maybe moving to 154 anyways.... Hurlex 10-18-2004, 12:49 PM lol..margarito is at 147 again i think and would kill shane...damn what can he do????/he better win or it might be over oldgringo 10-18-2004, 12:55 PM I give him a shot...if he can outwork Winky and hit him with a few good body shots he could possibly penetrate Winks defense in the later rounds. It'll be tough for him to beat Winky. 147 would be better suited for Shane. |
