You can't be saying that when Nas, Jigga, Canibus, Mos Def, Chino XL are still putting out albums.

There's too many BETTER active emcee's in my honest opinion. His flow is good but can I say...B O R I N G.

Monch > Jay-Z & Canibus, and it isnt even close. I can see arguements for Nas, Mos and Chino XL.

More "corny ass white dudes" are familiar with Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, or The Game than they are with Pharoahe Monch.

Canibus is the best lyricist right now and you have a point about Jigga because he sucks right now, but 96-2000 era compared with Monche right now is absolutely no contest.

I'm talking about the dudes like you who can recite Rakim or KRS-One lines on the spot.

Gotta go with my dude Pharoahe Monch. He has been years ahead of his time since that first OK album dropped. Desire is one of the best releases of the year, PM doesn't disappoint on anything.

Is Canibus the cool thing to say again? Which hip hop message board did ya pick that one up on? Hah.

Yet you somehow find it in yourself to call Pharoahe Monch "B O R I N G"? How interesting is it listening to Can I Bus speak about how he's light years ahead of the cosmological eye...how he eavesdrops on your prayers and metaphysically proves his worth on every track...blah blah.

"What is the origin metaphoric euphoria lobotomize the audience rap music
Recruited those who refuse it will be uprooted then electrocuted"

He tries too ****ing hard. Beasts from the East dropped many years ago...he hasn't been that nice since.

Canibus wishes he could rhyme half as nice as Pharoahe Monch. It shouldn't even be a conversation.

He has some great lyrics, good delivery, good ideas and **** like that, but...

I'm halfway through that Desire CD and I haven't heard a street beat or a catchy beat yet.

...Type of stuff you can only listen to when you're by yourself imo.

A little too "souly" for my liking.

He sounds like a modern day KRS.

**** that, I would take Can-I-Bus over anything Monche has done. At least that **** has some hot beats, Monche is yet another one of those 'underground' rappers who has an ear for **** beats. Organized Confusion can suck my fatty.

And Godzy, I'm talkin about cats like you who say Monche, Common is 'real hip hop' while **** like 50, Jigga isn't. You know the type that thinks listening to underground makes em cool an different from others.

****, I'll take a rapper that has sick punchlines or verses about ****ing *****es and partying over a goof emcee.

What are you talking about? Have you seen the dude's flow. Give him any hot beat and he will rip it up. Yeah his lyrics generally are garbage but dude probably has one of the sickest flows in the GAME.

When have I ever said that 50 Cent and Jay-Z were not 'real hip hop'? Jay-Z is alright, but overrated. 50 Cent is nothing special, and rather repetitive.

50 Cent's new album is going to be average. It may sell a lot, but it will be worse than "The Massacre". Didnt it get pushed back?

Monch is great, no doubt. But best right now? I can't see that. Nas is better, but I don't like the way that Nas changed with the times. He would be #1 now IMO if he stuck to his Illmatic stuff. (Might not have sold as many records) I think Common is better than Monch, and Immortal Technique too. (there's a curveball for ya) I also think Mos Def and Kweli are better than Monch. Monch is definetly bangin but his beats are lackluster and he needs to drop some epic albums to really get a name for himself. He is certainly paving the path to be a legendary MC.
