Run. there is no such thing as spot treatment. Its like a gass tank, you cant selectivly drain it. Do lots of road work.

Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

You need to burn off your bodyfat.

So........

Cut out sugar. This includes soda and any fruit juice with high fructose corn syrup. That includes Gatorade, BTW. Start checking labels and stay away from high fructose corn syrup -- studies have shown that is makes your liver PRODUCE fat. And it's in everything these days.

Also limit (or better yet, cut out) baked potatoes, white bread, and pasta unless it's whole-wheat. Once you've kicked sugar, you will never want to go back.

And lastly, run. Run for an hour a day IN ADDITION to your training. Even if you can't run for a solid hour, walk when you must, jog in spurts when you're too tired, etc. If your knees are bad, do an hour on the elliptical.

Good luck. Work it off.

I did this, in 7 months. Nearly 30 lbs. I cut out sugar and did roadwork every morning.

This was last year, BTW. I look far better now. :boxing:

fraidycat is right.

I lost 29lb in 4 months.
I didn't cut out sugar but I cut out Soda and other junk, cut my meals in half and started to eat healthy.
I run 2km everyday (at the start I wasn't but I worked up to it)
plus weight training
then Boxing 2 times a week.

The key is to sweat it out, run like you have never run before and love every minute of it. When you start to see results you just want to go harder and do more.

I have never felt so good in my entire life.

Only cardio work can get rid of fat. Doing situps will strengthen and tone your abs but running will greatly help get rid of the fat covering them. :boxing:
