Scared!afraid!a coward! These things I am not. How many of you train in MMA? For the last five years I have done it 25 days out of each month. This is my full time job. Each time I perpare for a fight I'm away from my family, training three times a day seven days a week for three months. I work my ass off for my family and my fans.I have dedicated my life to this sport. Why would I be afraid of chuck? I dismantled Ken Shamrock oh wait he was old and washed up lol.Everyone said how he was going to manhandle me.What happen to that? But Chuck can tell you all about being manhandle. Chuck is the man at my weigh. I like him and I have no problem with him ,but I have to fight him.I want to prepare the right way. Then he will lose! I watch the BDSSP I loved the way Dana played Tank like a puppet. I couldn't stop laughing. Tank really showed the main stream fans how far the UFC has come. But thats what they think will sell PPV.I think Dana is my friend but I come to realize that this is just business. Another fighter, another buck. You all don't know what happens behind closed doors. And you never will. This Chuck fight will happen. Will a friendship be lost? I think more then one all ready has. But time will tell. Just to remind you all am not afraid of no man! I have dominated my weight class for the last 3 years. Each year I get better.I dish out Punishment alphabetically and I was on the letter "K" for Ken now it time "L" for Liddell. Tito Ortiz Light-Heavyweight Champ for life! www.Titoortiz.com

Those sound like hollow words from a running man. If it were true he would have signed already. I am beginning to suspect that he will NEVER fight Chuck under any circumstances. I hope I'm wrong, but I almost never am.

Why else would he be making excuses. If it was me and I really didn't care I wouldn't waste time posting **** like that.

I am going to believe him. This is the biggest fight he has had so far...it is good he wants to come in as close to 100% as possible.

i really hope to see this soon. in my opinion, i don't think tito's afraid to fight him.
i think he realizes that chuck's going to be his toughest opponent and he wants to be absolutely sure that he's 100% ready to rock.
but i also think that tito too is a business man and will draw out this fight until it becomes just as anticipated as the ken fight.

Good thread guys. Here's my humble opinion. I don't think Tito is afraid to fight Chuck. But when you're the man, things change. Everyone in the World is shooting for Tito, he's a hunted man now. I personally think that Tito's perspective has changed, the only thing harder than becoming the Champ, is remaining the Champ, he knows this, and know's how hard it will be to stay where he is. If he's injured, and he needs more time, I think he's earned the right to do this on his terms. I hope he is sincere, and I hope this fight happens sometime in 2003.

I can just picture it now, the Iceman, in his blue shorts just chilling before the bell. Tito, jumping 3 fight high in his flame shorts. I don't think things could've played out better, now we just have to have patience and wait for the day it goes down.

I saw Tito roll a little today at the gym. Didnt seem to be going full speed, but he ended up working up a good sweat.

Tito isn't afraid to fight Chuck. He is just smart enough to wait until the situation is right for him. He has a few nagging injuries and wants to wait for them to heal. Instend of fighing Chuck at UC 42 he wants to wait until 43 or 44. WTF is wrong with that?

Chuck just has Tito's number and Tito will avoid him as long as he can. I think Tito is just frightened by Chuck. Tito never has gotten used to getting hit, and he knows that Chuck would hit him VERY hard.

Its really stupid to say tito is afraid of anyone after 10+ fights, if he was afraid he wouldnt fight anymore.
Win or lose Im Titos Fan.

Tito's not afriad, he just doesn't want to enter the fight any way less than 100%. I trully think Chuck's going t offer tito a hardtime but i'll never bet against Tito, he's jsut proven himself FAR too many time to be agains him. Even If Randleman or Couture fight him, Silva, Ninja or arona for that matter, i will not bet against him. I will say that Tito plays games and I'm pissed he isn't fighting Chuck next show and he hasn't fought him already. I still am not sure about everything w/ Vitor. Either way Tito will fiht Chuck and win or lose, he's still a top fighter.

I kind of question Tito's heart. If he gets in trouble do you think he would tap like the Frank fight? Like bbdog said, he's not used to getting hit, what will happen when he does, and possibly many times?

I'm just saying there are guys like Enson, Sak, Matsui, Frye, Silva, Ninja etc who have been in worse spots, but continued on...
