LEMME KNOW WHAT YA THINK WETHER ITS BAD.. OR WETHER ITS... BAD :nonono:

HIS REASON FOR QUITING WAS HIS RIBS AND NECK.. ALSO HAND FRACTURE ON SOME NON-EXISTANT CLASH OF HANDS HE SAID WE HAD.. I DONT EVEN REMEMBER THAT PART THOUGH.

In both your sparring and your fight Ive noticed that you're good at finding the openings. Sure some of the shots looked a little wide, but you got the job done. Dont be hard on yourself.

Good job.

Extremely wild and seems as if you were really nervous. Over aggressive too. Its all about the patient aggression. And you kept your hands down a little too much. But shit, you got the ****er out of there.haha. good work man.

that kid had the words everlast on his shirt and he was swinging from 4 chains. He had no business in the ring and quit cause he was scared. Personally i liked the fact that you swarmed him. Early tyson type shit.

I could be wrong, but dude didn't throw a punch. And I'm no expert, but for your first AM fight I thought that was pretty good. I mean you didn't really get much competition but your applied constant pressure.

I could tell you was pumped, pounding your gloves together and shit. lol

Just come out next time a little bit more controlled and you should be fine. Hopefully you can get some competition.

I counted 5 thrown punches. How embarasing. Good work though. I dont think you were too aggressive. I also dont think your punches were too wild or looping. Its okay to throw looping punches when you have your opponent covered up. Just make sure you dont do that with a live opponent.

You got the job done, and your punches looked like they had some good pop on them.

I really like the constant pressure you applied. If you were fighting in spurts, I would say you were being to aggressive, but you kept a nice steady assault going. Its a perfect style for the amatures. Never give your opponent a chance to score, and you dont tire yourself out to quick.

Overall, I would say that was a very solid performance by you. Your opponent quit because you did your job so well. You should be proud of this victory.

An amature bout is not for honing your skills. That is what sparing is for. An amature bout is a fight. When I step in the ring to fight, I expect to fight. I dont expect to hone my skills. I expect to go 110% for 3 rounds.

Anyways, haha, that was short.

Perhaps you were a little uncontrolled, but if someone's gonna turtle like that, Ida done pretty much the same thing (maybe idealy with a little more control). That being said, I'd say that you do a good job of finding the openings which is obviously a good thing. In the end of the day man, don't be so hard on yourself. Who won? Haha, hell it's not even like the guy LOST, he QUIT, so you musta been doin' alright, haha.

Good job!
I thought the aggression was good. A little uncontrolled, but a little too much aggression is better than being timid once you get in the ring.
Lots of things that need improvement, but that stuff will come with time. You're now the number 1 prospect in here, seeing as you can actually deliver in a real fight, not just at your friends house.

Your starting to be a real comedian, but you know what.I dont know you. So in reality it's funny,"COACH".For a coach to be ALWAYS(and I really mean ALWAYS) right I have to admit you are the Angelo Dundee,Buddy Mcgirt, Freddie Roach of Boxing. You train fighting machines that go undefeated as pros and am. Sorta like the Russian was before he faced Rocky.Knowing you are NEVER wrong I wonder how come everyone doesnt come to you about boxing advise constantly around the World.I mean you have been on PPV T.V right?

Someone with as much knowledge as you and NEVER wrong should been filled with World Champions training right now. Because a Trainer that is good as you as since you know it all and everyone else is wrong should be able to train fighters that dont have a near complete package to become Champions.I mean you have been in the game for years. So can you name some of the Top World Pro Champions you have Trained for years?

That's okay. I never claimed to always be right, like Slip'n'slide Corey says. I'm no Angelo Dundee either.

I do train a few international level ams though, so I know a little more than Corey, who's 0-1, and I guess that gets to him.

You can check out the video's I've posted of one of the kids I train. In one of them he's doing light sparring with the Cuban world champion, after they both lost in a tournament in Turkey recently. If anyone else in here has experience above that level, cool...

Check out my posts on training anywhere on this forum. I back up what I say with real knowledge. Not "my friend who benches 230 claims" whatever.
If that kind of stuff is less dubious to you than actual knowledge that can be backed up, then fine with me. :)

oh man dude just stop!

ask any top trainer why the amateur background is so important because thats where you learn to fight different styled fighters...going at it wild like that is not good to be honest what if you go up against someone who picks his shots clean? you can go at it 100 percent with awesome boxing skills like oscar did, and floyd jr did, watch zab judahs amateur shit he was knocking dudes out but he was feeling them out, working off the clean double jab and combos.

Amateurs are important for learning skills if you intend going into the pro-game...thats true... but you don't go a fight in amateur bouts to learn anything. You go to compete... to win. Most amateurs do not want to go pro - they want to box..they want to win. Learning is done in sparring. Full stop.

Anyway - domain - your hijacking this thread, as you so often do. This isn't about you.

Da1. You did really good, that moment when you walked him back to the corner with body shots looked real nice. I could see you were pumped - but, nerves can do that to someone. It could have been worse - his nerves made him cower and give up. Don't be too hard on yourself, i enjoyed watching it.

Oh yeah, and thanks for posting a vid, even though you thought you didn't do to well. It takes a lot to be being open to criticism.

Yea i'm real disappointed... I have more skill than that.. i let my head fly off...:nonono: ... If i would have boxed correctly could have definately floored him but ..I just didnt have my concentration...I'm gonna work on that a whole lot...I gotta concentrate and stay relaxed and not get pissed.. and stay coool regardless of what anyone says...

My trainer says i'll be fighting again in 2 weeks.

So i'mma be going to the gym and start working harder on trying to make concentration natural for me.. I really don't know how i lost it like that.. I know i'm amateur but damn that just looks horrible.:banghead: ..I need to go hide:Flush:

This i have to agree with a lil. Thats what I had been working on for the last 2 months.. just working off my jab and touchin em and gettin out and side stepping. Try to look nice and land cleaner shots and just look better. I just cracked under pressure and went nuts.. I will not allow that to happen again.

I watched a bunch of amateur bouts and said im not gonna be throwing like that. :nonono: embarrassing.

Yea man I am a counter puncher... but my trainers have been edging me to get alot more aggressive and use my jab first... but even they said I was too aggressive in this fight...

Said i should have boxed him a lil bit more since he wasn't a match for me... and that I abused having more power than my weight class.

But some others said get the guys outta there because ya never know what could happen or who's watching.

I dunno... yea i was mad but thats not good because ya know people will try and get ya mad b4 every fight... so what happens if I have a bigger fight and the guy pisses me off. Might not be the same outcome no matter how hard i hit feel me? They could do a mayweather and dance around those ****in bolos i was throwin.

I liked your fight you totally overwhelmed that guy. Like others have said you maybe were to anxious, but you did what you had to do and made that guy quit. Good Luck with your tourney in a couple of weeks and if you make it to fight on Sunday I think God will understand. Your doing something you love and I think he would understand that.

Sure Coach, Until you have a World Champion or a fighter alot of ppl know, stop bragging please.I dont brag because I havnt done shit yet in this game. You brag about a fighter by the way you talk is a god damn Sugar Ray Leonard or Oscar in the Amateurs. Until then dont think your right about everything in the forum and other ppl are wrong just because your a coach. Some things you say other Coaches that have trained World Champions said were right you said were wrong. Now get off your high horse and go make a damn REAL Champion instead of bragging how long you have been in the game and such. I will brag once I accomplish something. And you should too.;)

big decision about church. hope u make a call you're happy with

some guy that 15-2 was talking shit like "I got belts and shit.. You hit hard but it will take more than that to be someone like me.. your lucky we cant be matched up" all this shit..

I DONT EVEN know the ****ING DUDE... so we were arguing and my coach to me no t start any rivalries but I wasn't even doin shit and i just lost my concentration and got pissed off because he's trynna make a seen and I've never even met him b4 in person.. jus seen him fight a few times..

really got under my skin. So I guess I was looking for a KO...just to show his ass sumthin and ended up looking very untamed/wild .... He won by decision on his fight later that night against a guy 5 pounds heavier.

They could do a mayweather and dance around those ****in bolos i was throwin.

its funny cause you know how they say some fighters look good in the gym and are agressive in sparring and training...your the opposite you were timid in sparring and just counter punching picking shots and you casually train but then when you went in the ring you came out like a young manny pacquiao before he got with roach all agressive and shit hahah.

i would of thought you would of went on the ropes and shit you shocked me dog you had good agression but you gotta contain it a bit like others said cause you got over anxious and could of spent yourself early or got countered with a serious punch.

Thats one thing I'm sure of.. I would not have gotten tired.. I run so much and train hard enough. I would not have gotten tired at all.

but the getting countered thing.. could have easily happened...:nonono:

I don't brag, I just tell you what my experiences are. Saying that you have to have trained a world champion, to have any merit to what you say is ridiculous. By that line of reasoning, you shouldn't even be allowed to type a sdingle word in here, you haven't even won a fight yet!

The point is, I have more experience than you as a fighter, more experience as a trainer, more education in training physiology than you. If that was reversed, I'd listen to you, because I'm more interested in learning stuff than being right, where you're just a pigheaded fool who can't take a little constructive criticism. I wonder why you haven't accomplished ANYTHING, when everyone in here can see you have potential? Could it be you think you're smarter than you really are, and that you refuse to listen to your betters? I think so.

This will be my last entry to you, so knock yourself out writing one of your intelligent replies. This is DA1's thread, but I guess you just couldn't let a winner steal your thunder, huh? :bottle:

DA1 I like the way u fight with what all these people r sayin about be less aggressive or u look nervous who gives a shit, u r in a ring wit tons of people watchin u either gonna kick ass or get ur as kicked that can be a little nerve racking, thats just ur body nothing u can really do to prevent that, unless u have more fights thats my opinion anyways

But u looked good, but were a little wild at times, just look to pick ur shots more. Also When watching I noticed something that could help u on ur next fight. When u hit the guy and he covers up and does down in all defense throw your few shots rather than wasting energy trying to punch through his shell, instead take a quick pause, and when u pause hill become loose and try to recompose himself so do a pause between punches and as he's getin ready to fight agian throw a few hard shots that hell unexpect, this will prolly break there guard cause they'll relax a little after punches are thrown at him but w/ a sudden pause and explosion u could punch through the guard and make ur self look really good. Great fight, hope u understood wtf i said cause its a little long,

hERES THE FIGHT GUYS... GO AHEAD AND SLAUGHTER ME FOR MY LOOPING PUNCHES AND SQUARING UP.. I WAS A LIL UPSET AND SOME ONE WAS TALKIN SHIT AND GOT INTO MY HEAD AND I ENDED UP LOSIN MY COOL..

I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE CONTROLLED MYSELF BETTER BUT AFTER HE STARTED COVERING UP FROM MY JAB I JUST LOST MY TEMPER THINKING ABOUT SHIT THAT DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO DO WITH THE FIGHT...

I have never personally boxed before or anything, but I love your style, you go straight at him and attack, that is a good thing because that guy was clearly over matched, instead of waiting for him to land a big shot or something you just ended right there. Very impressive. As far as down the road my only suggestion for you is to be more patient but I am sure your trainer/father/coach ect. has already told you that, I think you looked really good out there.

Just my $.02

Effective bodywork when he covered up, I like to see that; and you did everything behind the educated jab until you had him hurt, which is crucial and well-appreciated. Good job mixing the right uppercut in behind the left hook when he covered up. He had nowhere to hide..

Good fight, I'd like to see more of them.

Everytime i've asked punch a question He's given me an answer that helped... So as far as I know he knows hi stuff.....

All this beef stuff isn't really needed though.. Punch you know you know more than 99% of the people on this site.. if not 100%.. So don't get brought into that...unless your just joking lol like white hope or sumthin..

Anyway could ya go into a lil detail about my mistakes.. though I can guess most of them you might let me know sumthin I didnt see.. so jus run down them all.. lol I know it might take you a while with all my mistakes.. hands low dropping them jab brought back low.. ETC. lemme have it.

John Scully posts here so I seriously doubt the 100% thing! and not for nothin but the remark he(punchdrunk) made about the "outside the house" thing reguarding verse was unnessasary, unprovoked, and it was meant to be hurtfull. I don't post here often but I do lurk quite a bit and more times than not punchdrunk is taking shots at one person or another which makes him come off like a jackass but whatever....anyhow congrats on you fight!

lol VERS hits harder? :wtf: :liar: .. yea all I did was fracture that guys hand when he covered up and bruised his ribs he said...

Thats not hitting hard enough of course!

And wait wouldn't vers be coming from 154 into my weightclass.. (lol yea i said MY WEIGHTCLASS) that would be an advantage for me.

lol lemme stop this shit I was gonna jus mes around and start shit playfully but everyone takes everything to seriously on this site so i'll be serious and say I'd like to VS. Vers too.. like I said if we both make it to nationals that'd be hot...

Alright I chose this as my first post back in T&N. This forum being where I started I rarely if ever posted outside this one.
I've been dying to see you fight man. And you didn't disapoint either. I think you smelled blood and went after it. But you seemed a little too hyped. Vers said nervous I think. Was it nerves or where you just that hyped up? Either way it's an easy fix. you won so you can't complain. You got that reach man. I'm a little like verse in being shorter with a shorter reach for my division. I know the task of taking on a long armed sharp shooter. And if your apponent doesn't have good defense, slipping, and excellent head movement half of the work will have been done for you before you even start. You got an advantage on most there use it. Keep em tight and crisp you lost your pop there with some of those wide punches I'm sure you know it to. In all nice job keep it up.

Hey it's not anything to be ashamed of. Thats why we sit for as long as possible in the locer room or a corner and clear our heads. Focus on the fight. People hate to see sombody accomplish what they can not. And know you can get into a persons head just by saying a few words. Take a little more time to clear the machine upstairs before you get into it. Don't be ashamed of it learn from it. Keep learning everytime you make a mistake. And if you want to be that blazing type of fighter Mayweather is you really have to bear down on your mental game. It takes discipline and a lot of it to be that technical and dominant. I met Floyed Sr. years ago at a tournement. He was talking to a group of us. He doesn't even put a fighter in the ring to spar until he's been trained on his fundementals for at least a year or unless he has the equivelent skills of somebody who has been training for a year. Again Discipline. Nice job in the fight you got the killer instint now put it to work.

I would never claim to be more experienced in this game than Scully, because obviously I'm not. I do think there are certain areas of training that I might know more about, but those would be more in the general training theory and physiology areas, than boxing.

Regarding the "outside the house" comment, it was because of something in another thread, so unprovoked it wasn't. I shouldn't have brought it into this thread though, you're right about that...

I'd like to think that I'm not the only one "taking shots" at people, usually it's provoked by someone who keeps arguing some MYTH they heard somewhere, when I've already broken down the reasons it's not correct. But hey, since you feel that way, maybe I should think about how I come across, and try to be more patient.
