Domain 06-01-2007, 11:53 AM yes but it depends on your body type. if your a mesomorph it should be easy with the right diet and supplements. you gotta get enough protien as much as you weigh and reduce carbs...you could put like 4 pounds of muscle on in 6 weeks without steroids. but you got to do heavy lifts like squats, clean jerks, pull ups they help you pack on muscle stick to compound movements. i cant get big cause im ectomorph and have a fast metabolism and i eat like a hog. mickeyb 06-01-2007, 11:59 AM Check out Domain with the science! Ectomorph and mesomorphs! I haven't heard that stuff since i was at school. Domains got a good point, its down to your particular body. Then again, its worth a try isn't it? Whats the worse that can happen? Please dont listen to domain. You could put on 4lb but not of muscle. Putting on muscle and cutting do not go hand and hand. In order to build muscle, you need to consume more calories than you burn, consequently, this is also the same way you get fat. You might be able to put on 4lb of muscle in 4 months, but not 6 weeks. If it was that easy, body builders wouldnt spend a life time getting as big as they are. McAlister 06-01-2007, 12:16 PM 4lb of muscle in 6 weeks is not possible. Please dont listen to domain. I meant cut, gettin real toned shawn_ 06-01-2007, 12:18 PM You can cut in 6 weeks, depends on what your body is like right now though. You wont be able to drop 50lb of fat in 6 weeks, but you could get rid of probably 10lb of fat if you worked your ass off. DA1CATAS 06-01-2007, 12:24 PM Mc. seems you got all the correct tips already. just keep training..lift a lil heavier on your arms... but do reps also.. that will balance out. Or you could take my approach and just lots of pull-ups.. push-ups.. and running. P.S. Impressive Domain.. you gave a serious answer. and sounded very educated in doing so. If it was that easy, body builders wouldnt spend a life time getting as big as they are. the common misconception is you have to bulk to get big and then cut away all the fat...but you can train and stay lean and put on muscle but it takes more discipline you have to know when to time your carbs as well. i said if he was a mesomorph he could your stupid man did you know if the person has the right diet and training they can put 1 pound of muscle on a week? They call these new gains and then you hit that plateau then thats when some people add supps and roids in the mix to go past there genetic potential. depending on there genetics. if he was an endomorph it would be mostly fat...i never said it was easy man but it takes discipline. BrooklynBomber 06-01-2007, 01:16 PM you CAN gain lean muscle, it just won't be easy and it takes a good deal of time, but you can. In McAlister case, he need to burn fat more so than gain muscle. I just suggest doing a bit of weights after the practice and eat lean(wholegrain products, fish and chicken). I mean creating a routine that fits you would be hard, but if you are looking for the beach body look(all of us do at this moment) then burning fat is more important then gaining muscle. Edit: when I meant that you can gain lean muscle, I still meant that you will gain fat and water but to a lesser degree. |
