1st game at Wembley. Beckham's return, it's Brazil. Can't remember the last time a friendly meant so much.:)

England to win with best performance in years, am I too optomistic?

I hope we'll win but I can't see it. We always underachieve I fear we'll get a proper good hiding tonight.

No, it's a pointless friendly - honestly you don't learn anything from these games - they're just money spinners and chances to see a few new players.

I'll be watching but I'm really waiting for wednesday.

Actually I found the game intriguing - we outhustled Brazil in midfield and the defence looked solid until terry went off. Only Jamie, fat frank and Smith had mediocre games. Gerrard, Beckham, King all played excellently and Owen looked ok considering he's still regaining sharpness.

But I stand by what I said - these games are showpieces, its in the competitive matches where you need to perform. I want to see those players putting in a performance on Wednesday. I'd play Crouch and Owen, with Gerrard holding and Bridge in for the solid but uninspiring Shorey.

Agreed on all points.

Smith is not good enough for England in my opinion, he lost almost every header and couldn't hold the ball up at all, not sure why Crouch wasn't used?

Jamie C is an excellent central defender but a mediocre right back at international level as he is poor going forward and Lampard has been poor in an England shirt for about two years now!

Shorey had a great debut, Gerrard was solid and controlled the central area and Beckham's delivery was excellent. Joe Cole over played it at times but he is looking fit again, Owen had little to feed on but is looking sharper.

We have to play with Crouch and Owen on Wednesday as Owen requires a solid link man!

They hardly ****ed anything up. If you would have offered me a 1-1 draw with Brazil before the game - i'd have took it. Its Brazil at the end of the day.

To be 1-0 up and looking solid against the greatest international team on the planet was real good. England did well, and i was pleased (for a change) with the performance.

Although... on the other hand, letting bRazil score a goal 30 seconds before the final whistle was typical ****ing England - to be honest, i wasn't even shocked! lol.

Oh well, well done england. Lets hope they don't die a death against Estonia.

What is the point in defending well for 92 minutes then ****ing it up in the last 20 seconds?

They may as well let in a goal after 20 seconds from the start....

They wll never win anything with this mentality

They should win first.....then **** around with subs like Jenas and Brown if they are 2 or 3 up...

Brazil were there for the taking
