So tonight we got the postings for the bout on Satuday. The guy I'm fighting is the guy whose style I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to copy for the past six months. He's younger, faster, and has much better control and kinetics. I am gonna get :owned: I'm quite flattered that the trainers think we're well-matched. :ugh:

I stand to get my ass kicked, but I will stand by my word and post the video anyway.

if you dont think your gunna win, dont box. You have to win in your head first then make it happen.

You're right. I need to win this in my mind, first.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'll most likely come out on top, but at the cost of looking stupid and getting beaten up pretty bad in the process. I hit about three times harder than he does. On that alone, I'd rather be me in this fight than him.

Well Fraidy, I've never seen you box, but it seems you have the balls, and a good head on your shoulders, don't count yourself out.

also, the flip side to that cliche is - take your ass whooping like a man (which i'm sure you will) and try your best dude - you COULD win, how ****en huge would that be?

expected ass whoopings, for me, are a great character builder. just don't be taking too much punishment, i'd be really happy for you if you posted a vid and your hand was raised at the end.

good luck!

that is a lame post man.....Why fight? I dont give a **** who i fight, I am gonna try my hardest to knock him/her (LOL) out. You need to remember that HEART goes a LONG way and anyone who knows how to box can connect with that one punch at ANY time. Get well conditioned and believe you can win, you may suprise yourself.

I'll be really happy for me if I post a vid and I'm still upright and ambulatory at the end. Actually, this morning, I'm looking forward to the fight. I was just a bit freaked out last night. Thanks, all.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win...

Whats does this tell you.... do you think You've trained hard enough? Had good sparring? Been running your miles/roadwork?

I got that **** right now going through my head and I can't wait to look this guy in the eye seconds before I aim to decapitate him in the ring on saturday.

I have to admit... That if **** goes wrong in your life b4 you fight... the fight seems easy. People think I would have been really down from the last 3 days of **** I've went through... definately not the case.:davil2:

I hope you win yours.

It sounds like you're mentally moving in the right direction. Try to catch yourself everytime you think or say something about losing or him being better than you... you're just hurting your chances with all that. Have you worked out a gameplan? It sounds corny but it helps if you can visualize yourself doing all the things in the fight that you'll need to do to win.

Anyway, good luck man. You're doing something most people would never have the balls for so you should feel proud of yourself regardless of the outcome... but kick his as* anyway.
