It was a pretty good card all in all and about $10 cheaper than a boxing PPV.

Was it cheaper than Larios-Pacquiao fight? Some Boxing PPV are also cheap.

The price is not what matters, the enjoyment is. I don't enjoy short fights, thats why I hate ufc. Plus, they always stop the fights too early. I don't even think Liddel tasted his own blood

As a card lasting about two hours it was pretty entertaining. You got to see a few different types of fights, there was variety, there were knockouts, you got to see that chump Chris Leben get booed, and it was $40. When I order boxing PPVs I would like to see a good five or six fights on the undercard, maybe some 4 and 6 rounders, not just three title fights. I mean for the money I paid for De La Hoya / Mayweather they could have shown more than the three fights they showed quite easily. I watch boxing far more than I watch UFC and I have never bought an MMA ppv (I watched this at a friend's house, we chipped in $5 each) but I don't think that it's a fair conclusion that MMA fans wasted their money buying the event, in part because the UFC cards are not set up so it's all about the main event and the undercards be damned...

Exactly. Keep in mind alot of casual fans actually had no clue who Rampage was!

And the stoppage was a good one. You do not only stop it when someone is out. You stop it when someone is 'not intellegently defending themselves'. He was not trying to improve position, his hands were at his sides, and he was not moving his head. The Keith Jardine fight should have been stopped earlier too IMO.

I'd take boxing over MMA anyday but I usually get more out of an MMA ppv than a boxing ppv. Boxing ppv's are more expensive and usually the main event is the only decent fight on the card.

MMA is so much more exciting than boxing is right now. I paid 50$ for de la hoya/mayweather and not one of them, not one, landed a clean hard punch on the others chin, not one, ive watched it over and over. Last nights card was better than the "superbowl" hyped up card that is de la hoya/mayweather. Last nights card gave u a lot more fights, and most of the fights werent left into the judges hands for contraversy. I love boxing, but MMA is doing a hell of a job being on espn and the cover of espn the magazine and sports illustrated.

The irony of someone talking about how people should be disappointed with the MMA PPV after the abomination of Mayweather/DLH. I was satisfied with the event. The Jardine fight and the Liddell fight made it worth the $40 I spent.

I wouldn't say that Floyd never landed a clean hard punch...if you really watched the fight as many times as you say you did, then you saw Floyd catch Oscar with some right hands, one of which buckled Oscars knees.....it happened...no disputing that.

This is my first post. I watched the show with a 9 person crowd and all 7 fights were a blast.

All I saw it with loved it a lot more than PBF/DLH.

The Jardine fight was the most exciting brutal 50 secs of violence I've ever seen.

Karo/Burkman was a great fight as well.

We loved it when that dude slammed Din thomas and he turned it into an armbar upon impact.

Jackson/Liddell was short...but the shock value was exciting.

I'd watch another UFC show.

On a side note....Liddel came out to the same DMX song that Tyson came out to when he got whooped by Lewis. One of us said remarked it and said, "I hope he doesn't end up like Tyson in that fight!!!"

that the only reason you watch combat sports? to see a guy's chin get blasted?

why not just watch gory faces of death type of **** if you like to see a guy's brain get rocked.

i watch boxing for the skill displayed so i can learn from it. mayweather and dlh showed many things of their trade that could be learned, just because nobody landed a good shot doesnt mean the card was worthless. there was so much skill on display in that boxing ring. u tool.

I agree that they showed a lot of skill....but watching the 24/7 documentary and oscar saying that hes going to make floyd fight him, i felt the card was a dissappointment, it gave u 2 fights before it, which were horrendous IMO. I pretty much watched oscar chase mayweather for 12 rounds. Not cut off the ring like hes suppose to (with the exception of 2 or 3 occasions), but chase him around. He hesitated almost everytime when he was 2 inchs away from mayweathers face when mayweather would go to the ropes. Why do hearns, hagler, duran, leanord get all the glory and hall of fame status....b/c they wanted to win convincingly and put on a good show for the fans. Even the HBO commentary has said boxing needs to change some of its rules in order to excite fans. I love boxing, but with some recent fights like spinks/taylor and de la hoya/mayweather, it seems to be going in a downward spiral. Sure the big fight got over 2 million buys, but will the fans be back for more? sry, but give me chuck liddell or randy couture anyday of the year.

And no i dont watch boxing just for guys getting there heads bashed in, my fav boxer is bernard hopkins he hasnt knocked out anyone in some time. I'm just saying after both of these fighters hyped up "the fight that will save boxing" and couldnt back it up on fight night, it dissappointed me. Hopefully cotto-judah could raise some life into the sport, but i doubt it.

i couldnt agree with u more. ufc ppv's are ****ting all over the boxing ones. and in mma we dont have ****ty promoters and managers who just look for a quick dime. and oh yea, we dont have 4 diff champions to add confusion, we got 1 champ in each weight class, and with the buying of pridefc, we could now see even more great fights.

"The Heat" Karo Parisian. He's a stuntman out of Nocal. His base is Judo and Catch and has been training with greats in the sport like "Judo" Gene LeBell and GOKOR. He's been training his striking and ring presence with Randy Couture as of late. He's got good hands, great ground game and the almost mutant ability of taking judo throws and performing them in the ring. While he does have several submission wins, his big weakness is that he isn't much of a finisher. Most of his wins are by the judges.

I'm not gonna lie, I was so hyped up about that Oscar - Mayweather fight, that I was on the edge of my seat too...but more just from the anticipation than from the action of the fight.

I was actually trying to get tickets for that, but couldn't find anything worth the price. So I ended up going to the UFC.
