McNulty

Obviously a big fan of The Wire and wanna start a dedicated thread for it.

Some say I'm leavinig the force next season. I havent got any word about that yet so look for me in the next season.

Marlo...hmmm...kinda like him and understand him as how new school gangster, but can see why alot of people say they dont like him cuz he rules w/a iron fist.

Chris Partlow...wonder if him and Avon will cross paths in the joint. I have a strong feelin Avon will be seen next season.

Omar...you know dam well something will go down w/Marlo and him.

The real question is did Michael really kill Bodie? I thought so but you cant see who does the hit. I'll miss Bodie and feel responsible.

Did anyone know that Pooky really killed someone when she was like 14? She did a bid and got teh gig.

Another dope show is The Corner...alot of dudes from The Wire and made by the same guy as The Wire. Great series. The real character of the main character from The Corner was in The Wire.

Anybody else been watching "The Wire". It might be the best show on Television. After Dexter it's probably my favorite show. Great show on the realities of life especially in the inner city. There are so many good characters and great acting as well. Would recommend this show to everyone. To bad McNulty wasn't banned I know he would like to talk about the show. Plus his character is back to his old self and is the shit.

By far my favorite show on TV right now. McNulty is starting to get into a little more extreme version of his old self. Meaning that I got the feeling that he might overstep his boundaries.

Also- is anybody else hoping that Bubbles makes it out alright? I've grown fond of that dirty mofo..

Yeah I hope Bubs makes it through as well. It sucks that his sister doesn't let him stay in the house when she's gone, but I guess he still can't be trusted. I like the new media angle they are coming with this season.

I don't know what Marlo is thinking in killing Butchie and bringing Omar back. I know he want's to get back at him for robbing him, but Omar is somebody that is best left alone. He's gonna pay or somebody in his crew is gonna pay.

Seen the new episode on Demand today. God damn I love the way you can see it early. It was a decent one. Man McNulty and Lester are getting into some hairy shit with there fake serial killer and now since Templeton's making up shit it might help them out or make it worse. Plus what's up with that new cell phone that the greeks gave Marlo it must have some kind of interference that makes it undetectable. Chris and Snoop had a good setup on Omar and about had him, but that mother****er is amazing in surviving that fall. I was hoping Omar was going to get one of them, not Michael, but Chris or Snoop. Sweet Jesus I hope Omar works one of them. It's gonna be tough though because Chris and Snoop are good as well and even though they are not as good as Omar, there are two of them. It so sucks that this is going to be the last season, because it's real and there needs to be more shows like this, instead of all the worthless shit that is on now.

I been watching this show since the 1st episode aired on HBO, I was in school going to outdoor gym class and while on my way to the park I would tell n1ggas this show will be the best show ever, I had seen previews and ever since the opening scene where McNulty questions Snot Boogie I been hooked.. I like everybody to be honest, only dude ain't like for a little while was Stringer because he was a snake but everybody else was aight to me, String just looked grimey and for that reason I always had a little dislike for his character, I'll admit though I ain't think he would die so crazy. I'm just hoping for a good 5th season because it's only 10 episodes and doesn't have much time to **** around, it seems like this season is going to be no non sense and just straight up bodying, I'm looking forward to it..

LMAO... I was like 'Hell yeah!' when he said that. Except don't kill Snoop, Omar!! That's one of my favorite characters.. I don't think Michael will get got.. the story seems to be setting him up up for a fallout with Marlo. He'll probably get out right before the real killer shit goes down.

But damn.. Joe's nephew has GOT to go. That little rat.. The scene with Prop Joe closing his eyes was pretty damn ****ed up.

Yeah Method Man betrayed his blood, he needs to go because of that. I would like to see Omar get him. I think your right about Michael and I think he will play a vital role in the end. I like Snoop as well, but I think Omar will get one of them and it might be her since Chris seems to play a bigger part in the show. I hope Omar makes it to the end, but now since Marlo seems to be the main man since Prop Joe's gone you know the bounty for Omar is going to be outrageous.

I know what your saying about Snoop. I like the episode this season where they are going to shoot up a corner and the other guy in the car says let's do it like the West Side and do a drive by. They do it, but don't hit nobody, and she gets out of the car and says something like here in B-More we point and shoot a ***** and caps his ass. She also says something funny after that as well that made me laugh. It sucks though as it seems Omar is going to have to work her.

I just got caught up on this season and its good as ever. They brought back the greek and Serge from season 2. McNultys character is back in full force, I like the serial killer angle. Michael and dukie are back but where is Namond and Randy? Im not really feelin the media spotlight this year, last years school system and politics focus was better. Still the street and police scene are the best to ever hit a screen I think. If omar doesnt get Marlo, I hope Barksdale gets out and repays Chris for that shotgun blast(season 3)

Omar is my favorite character...The boy is a killa 4real....

This season has definitely lived up to the hype..Marlo got Chris & Snoop killing any and everything..He's definitely making major moves now that he's messing with the Greeks..His dope supply will be none stop, that's until Omar kills his ass...

Yes, Omar is back and he's going to begin picking off Marlo's click one at a time..

Pro Joe is outta the loop now so the whole Co-op shit is outta there...Marlo will tell them chump to get down or lay down..And I bet the farm they all lay down..

I saw the previews for next weeks show and it looks like Bunk goes to talk to Randy. Probably about those murders. I liked the school angle as well, but adding the media makes sense. It's just another side to the everyday life of a big city.

Omar is unbeleivable, he jumps out of about a 6 story building and still survives, but has a jacked up leg. I like the way he's going after everybody in Marlo's crew basically one by one and telling them that Marlo is a bitch. Plus McNulty's fake homeless murder case is catching attention, but still McNulty can't get what he wants.

Havent read through the posts because I want to watch Episode 8 soon. All I gotta say though is cotdayum did they turn Marlo into a major BOSS. Dude is heartless, dude even watched Prop Joe's brains get blasted without as much as blinking. I was hoping though by this time that Michael would have had a more central and important role in Marlo's organization rather than see him almost give the life he has chosen second thoughts.

This week's episode was another good one. Looks like McNulty got what he wanted and now the money is flowing for the police, but it looks like he may be in over his head. At least he's letting the other detectives do their cases and letting them do real police work, but it seems like the situation might get worse.

Plus I can't wait until Templeton gets found out that he's not telling the truth, but it seems the big wigs at the paper are all over his balls. It's crazy how one lie starting with McNulty has turned into another one and how it's affected the whole city.

Omar is not giving a **** if people see him and I liked the way he smoked one of Marlo's muscle men. Michael got lucky that Omar didn't recognize or he would have gotten smoked on the spot. I hope Omar gets some kind of revenge in the end.

The show is winding down and that sucks. I wish they could have more seasons or some kind of spin off was made.

A spin off of the McNulty character would be good and probably makes sense. It seems if there is a main character on the show, especially this season it's probably McNulty.

Your talking about Kenard. Yeah that would have been funny if Omar smoked his ass. I liked last season when Michael beat the ever loving shit out of him. Seems like he didn't learn much since he keeps running his mouth.

SPOILER FOR THE NEXT WEEK

Watched the new episode of the The Wire on Demand and it looks like things are really heating up. Sorry Baya, but ****ing Kenard is the one that does in Omar. I was hoping Omar would take out either Chris or Snoop, but it looks like that won't be happening. It sucks that it was Kenard I mean it kind of makes sense since that kid was always acting like a bad ass and now he does this. To be honest I was hoping maybe he would take a bullet sometime.

Looks like McNulty is still getting in over his head, but realizing some things as well. I hope they get away with what there doing, but it seems like their going to get figured out sooner or later. Also I was LMAO when McNulty and Keema went to those people to get a possible personality of the Homeless Killer and what the guy said back was exactly like McNulty.

Then finally it seems like Gus is on to Templeton. I hope that he gets caught because he's just a whiny bitch that has to make up stories because he can't take the time and get a real one. Looks like these final episodes are gonna be action packed.

I didn't really like it as well that Kenard was the person to get Omar, but at the sametime it's the streets and anything goes. I mean they could have had an obvious scene with Chris or Snoop or maybe even Marlo getting him, but they went with something else. Just like the Sopranos ending I was pissed at first, but it has grown on me. I think were used to having the ending we expect and then when it doesn't happen we get pissed. So in the end Im not really that mad because even though Omar was a big character, the show really isn't about individual characters and the city is really the main character. Now im excited to see how they get Marlo and from the previews it looks like Michael smokes somebody. I bet it's Snoop because in the preview Michael says you all taught me to get there early and then he smokes somebody. I bet it's Snoop because I know she gives him a lot of shit and he's second guessing what he's doing.

Great second to last episode on the Wire. Probably my favorite episode of all time. Even a couple hours later after watching it I was still buzzing. Michael's a smart kid and knew what was up and even though I like Snoop she deserved that bullet to the head. Marlo and his crew look like their in some dip shit, but Im wondering how all this evidence is going to hold up in court. Then I really hope Keema didn't tell on McNulty. It may seem like the right thing to do, but in the end she'll probably regret it. Yes he told a big lie, but he got the Police department money so they could do the job the best they could. I would be really dissapointed if she did. Plus it was good to see Reginald (Bubs) really talk about his addiction. Then finally Im happy Gus is starting to figure out Templeton. That guy is a straight up lier and ass kisser and I hope he gets fired in the last episode. Can't wait for next week's series finale, it's gonna answer a lot of things.

Shit was smart. But all this Marlo "HE SAID MY NAME IN THE STREET", when it comes to it, gun play wise?
Marlo would have got yapped by Omar.

Great last episode. It's crazy how Lester and McNulty got off pretty good for what they did and in the end everybody pretty much got what they wanted basically because they kept there mouths shut and covered things up. The ending was great because it goes to show that even though one group of people left or gets caught that new people come in and the cycle continues again. I liked the way Michael became the new Omar, then it was sad to see Dukie become the new bubs. Like I said basically just a cycle. It's sad to think about life in that way, but that's how it is. The people may change, but the game doesn't wether it be on the streets or the professional world. IMO The Wire was one of the most real shows on TV ever and will be missed by many. It was enertaining and educating all at the same time. Many shows don't do that especially in this day and age where enertainment and money are the most important things.

I just watched the final show. Everybody takes something different away from The Wire. Too many different angles to think about knowing we will never have an answer too. IMO it was the best show ever, I will miss it.

i've just watched the last episode which i thought was amazing. Now the depression sets in. It feels like it hasn't run its course which means it'll be looked back on with a lot more admiration, it was the greatest tv show ever. It could of gone on for a long time due to how "the game" is but oh well all good things must come to an end.

anyone got any other good shows to recommend? i'm thinkin of checkin out Oz the HBO prison drama.

Yeah that would have been nice, but that's life as well. The men who have the most money usually get away while the people underneath them take the fall.

Is it just me, or was that scene where Marlo was on the block by himself really powerful? Just shows how you can't change a person, no matter what.

Yeah that was a pretty good scene. Even though he was trying to not be a gangster anymore he still had it in him. He liked that power he had and the fear he had over the people in the hood. Then you know it kind of irked him that he had to get out of the game because he wanted that tough guy image. The reason you know he liked that is because anybody who ever said bad about him usually died and then he was all pissed that Chris and Monk didn't tell him what Omar was saying.

I felt it was powerful too because Marlo had barely been out of the game and things had already changed and the kids on the corner didn't even know who he was. It shows that the dope game will always be there no matter who's running it and that it's not the person that makes the dope game. Rather it's the dope game that makes the person.

I know a lot of the characters are based on real people and there are some actual ex gangsters etc on the show. But the most weird one i heard tonight was the priest, black guy with a droopy face, deacon i think. He was a major drug kingpin in the 60's 70's and 80's in baltimore and ed burns the creator of the wire arrested him a few times.
