View Full Version : The Tyson fight is on...what are your fellings on the outcome
I am sure most of you know i am and always have been a huge fan. I really want to see him K.O. the rino in 5 rounds or less. But to be fair Tyson has lost some of his speed and some of his timing over the years, and I feel it started with gibbons and has been prolonged by Don King and his fireing of past trainers. I can only pray he gets his **** together for this fight and can win fast and stay focused for a rematch with Lennox
Fallout 02-20-2003, 10:34 AM Tyson is not gonna get a rematch with Lewis. Lennox owned Mike in every single round. I don't see a rematch going down, even if Mike wins here
I beleive the rematch is already set to take place? What i fear will happen is lennox will say the fight is not worth the time and pay out to tyson to not fight
handjobs4dollars 02-20-2003, 10:54 AM I want mike to get back some of the respect he once had and the go see a doctor. Got a lot of issue's to work on.
Mr. Beelzebub 02-20-2003, 10:55 AM BLACK RHYNO!!!!!

GhosT^x0 02-20-2003, 11:04 AM Tyson is going to destroy Etienne. Etienne is a lot like Tyson in build and stats, but Tyson has never been a run-of-the-mill boxer... he is a killer. Against a guy his size, his will and ferocity will be enough to put "Rhyno" on his ass by the 4th.
I agree with you Dave, I think you hit it right on the head. pluss the promoter does not set Tyson up. He is supposed to beat him. Ettene is someone that like to stand and bang...

and i say tyson knocks this guy out easy
Tha Playa 02-20-2003, 02:00 PM I just watched the press conference, the rhino is scared ****less guys, you can see it in his body language and hear it in his voice. He wouldn't even look at Mike. Unfortunatly Mike didn't have too many memorable quotes, except when asked about his new facial tattoo he replied, "I didn't like the way my face looked" and that the tattoo "wasn't even half-way finished". I thought that was pretty funny, that's going to be one big ass tat. Tyson is going to kill him, 3rd round KO.
Lewis has set aside a June date for a rematch but Tyson will first need to produce an impressive victory over Etienne to make the fight financially viable.
Tha Playa 02-20-2003, 02:36 PM Trust me this guy isn't going to last long, unless he's owns a great poker face. Mike predicted an early KO as well.
Tanner Rhoden 02-20-2003, 02:38 PM I don't care about Mike Tyson anymore.
realkaps 02-20-2003, 02:39 PM Early KO, I seen that Rhyno dude box before, he didnt look like much.....

Leather 02-21-2003, 08:02 AM I'm afraid...and Etienne too...
I think etenne is a good boxer, and a good record. It should be a decent fight?!

Tha Playa 02-21-2003, 11:45 AM Tyson has dropped some weight since the Lewis fight, which is a good sign. He looked very slow against Lennox.
I agree, he looks pretty svelt.
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 11:50 AM svelt.........ha ha ha.....svelt
Tyson should beat this guy easy now that he's in his head.
Tyson is the king if mind games
Are you denying his sveltness?
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 11:58 AM I am not denying his sveltness only pointing out that
calling someone svelt is not very svelt.
Who made you the Svelt police ..MR. Svelt smart?
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 12:01 PM well then svelt you buddy :cuss:

Aaron Bizarre 02-21-2003, 02:03 PM Im hopeing Tyson goes down.
Bluecifer 02-21-2003, 02:18 PM Tyson, by ear bite.
AAron Suave is pissing me off with his negative attitude
Tha Playa 02-21-2003, 03:40 PM That reporter almost ****ed up yesterday at the press conference when he asked Mike if his child was a "girl". Did you see Mike's face when he heard that?
Bluecifer 02-21-2003, 03:41 PM Mike looks scary as hell with that tat on his face.
HAHA He asked if the boy was a girl....hahahahah
Mike Tyson is going to win big and get a rematch with Lewis and lose again
seldomTap 02-21-2003, 07:04 PM Heavyweight boxing needs Mike Tyson to win and win well to convince the world he should get another shot at Lewis. There doesn't seem to be much depth in the heavyweight ranks right now...it needs a good shot in the arm like this
THey are all getting kind of old
Tua i am looking out for though
seldomTap 02-21-2003, 07:06 PM early 70's = best time in heavyweight division.
Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton...great era.
Current day not so much
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 07:10 PM Agree.........but I miss Hagler and Ray Lenord and the hitman
It was a era that will not exist agin untill the heavy weight fighter are big time sponcered and co-compete
seldomTap 02-21-2003, 07:12 PM Maybe we are just nostalgic old bastards Curly!
I do not think so......That era you skeak of was the Best...15 rounds..........Great fights....
All of those fighters now talk like they are retarded

Indeed they do...but they do it with pride!
There was also a lot more depth in that time. Joe Bugner went the distance with Ali twice. Henry Cooper gave hima very good run also. Go on a few years and Larry Holmes comes to mind. Spinks also.
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 07:24 PM I meet Leon Spinks,,,He gives ebonics a bad name

Good call but there was not 45 million dollars at stake either
Money makes people start acking silly
seldomTap 02-21-2003, 07:28 PM Very true...but you would also think that the big bucks would make more people want to box...therefore creating more fighters, in turn more depth, more potential champs and a better scene for all.
We need to get boxing back in the schools, get the kiddies in the ring young. Let them know all about the sweet science
Curly Howard 02-21-2003, 07:31 PM I know boxing kept me busy and out of trouble. I started at age 14 and loved it. I have a crooked nose to show for it
money is an adult thing
Boxing is a game
seldomTap 02-21-2003, 07:38 PM Bzob is spot on.
